What would Jesus do?

Jesus would... Love you enough to die for you, suffering on a cross
Want you to spend eternity with Him in Paradise
And give His life to achive that goal.
He would Heal the sick and injured, even on the Sabbath, when the Pharisees
said He couldn't.
Accept everyone, no matter who they are or what they've done—
the thief who repented, the adultress whom He saved
Treat the poor as well as He treated the rich and ask us to do the same –
to love each other, no matter what.
He would
Offer hope to those without it, as I have seen in my own life.
Spend time with the outcasts, proving that all humans have worth; we should
love everyone-- He led by example; He was not a hypocrite.
He would
Suffer shame, humiliation, and pain so we would never have to,
and so that we could have eternal life.
Even while hanging on the cross, He could forgive the people killing Him –
"Father forgive them, they know not what they do"
He had mercy on the thief who believed,
and took him to Paradise.
And most importantly:
He would love us all, and if we choose to turn to Him
He will accept us instantly, no matter what our past.

A/n: A quote from a book I read:

...When he heard of Christ dying for his sins, he simply chalked it
up to being part of his culture – a lathering televangelist, a dangling
necklace, a peeling fresco. But what he'd seen was the slaughter of a real
human being, a loving, giving person, the greatest person he'd ever met.
The slaughter of a love that had looked him directly in the eyes and said,
"I'm doing this for you – it's all for you."

From ELI, a (very good) novel by Bill Myers. If you want to know
