Gaston was returning back to Strange-Town after visiting his friend in another far off town. They had had some good laughs, but Gaston had to go back to Strange-Town eventually. "Excuse me, can I sit here?" Gaston looked to see who was talking and saw a very big-eyed cat. "Er, not at all," replied Gaston. He didn't want to tell the cat that he was freaking him out. The cat plopped down on the seat across from him. "So, my names Rover," the cat introduced himself as. "Yeah, well, I'm Gaston." "Pleased to meet you!" "Yeah, me too." Gaston wondered why the heck this cat was so hyper and cheery. Train rides usually made him sleepy, but he assumed that Rover was just really high on sugar. "So where are ya headed?" "Um, Strange-Town." Rover dropped his jaw. "Really? After the incident?" "Incident?" Gaston asked. "What incident?" The train stopped. "Now arriving at Strange-Town," the voice over the intercom said. "Oh, never mind. You'll find out soon enough," Rover chuckled. "What a strange person," Gaston thought as he walked off his train. He wondered what Rover could have possibly meant. "Hey, Gaston!" Gaston turned to find his good friend, Poncho. "Hello, monsieur Poncho," Gaston replied. "What? Oh yeah, I forgot you're French," Poncho replied sheepishly. "Then it would appear I have been away too long, if you have forgotten my Frenchness," said Gaston. He knew Frenchness wasn't a word, but he wanted to see if his friend would catch on. He didn't. "So, Poncho, what is this little 'incident I heard of on the train?" Poncho frowned. "Well its like this. Crazy Redd came to town the other day to do his usual selling." "Yes, so?" Well, just a couple of minutes ago, they found his body." "Body?" "Yes. You see, he was murdered."
