Wandering
by Lane

A/N: I'm depressed. I got the name from a baby name contest last year... mine didn't win. The fic name is the name of the Farplane's theme.

Disclaimer: I don't own Final Fantasy X. Squaresoft does. I own Phoenix Gavin Clark.

-------------------------

It had been six years. Six years since he'd seen his mother, father, sister.........

Six years since they'd died. He was eleven.....

It was his first time at the Farplane.

Too lost and unconscious, pumped up with toxin, he missed the Sending. He guessed that he could have seen them when ever he was around, but he didn't.

Not that he didn't want too.... He just didn't.

It was his first time at the Farplane.

Why today? Why had he decide to come today?

Sin had been defeated for the last time.

Maybe they'd rest better now.

He couldn't really remember them anymore. His little sister's large brown eyes, his father's strong broad shoulders..... his mother's beautiful face..... all a blur to him, just faded fragments.

It felt wrong.

It felt wrong to just stand there and look at someone he should never been able to look at again. Wrong to lament that they were gone.... and he was not. Wrong to talk to a simple metal image that meant nothing.....

..... and everything.

Barely any memories.... his father's strong arms...... amazing how a few seconds and Sin could easily swipe both away.

He looked at the expanse before him, the rose sky, the golden falls....

The edge of the platform lay under his feet.

Why today of all days? Why come to see today?

A few steps were taken back from the edge. Untainted air filled his lungs. He gained a rush of speed and felt his feet leave the edge.

For a short lived moment, he flew.
