Day 1
Dear Diary, hullo! My name is Frodo! If anyone finds this diary, HELP ME! There are crazy people calling themselves 'parents' torturing me every day! There are only so many game of 'where's mommy? Here she is!' you can laugh at. Sheesh! One day I must tell that woman that her hands are in front of her face!
Day 2
Have figured out that if I cry the 'parents' will come running to me and comfort me. This could be used to my advantage. Have met new comrade. 'Parents' said his name is Fuzzy. Strange thing. They said he was something called a 'penguin.' Alas, I shall avenge my 'parents' and Fuzzy shall join me!
Day 5
Sorry have not written in a while. 'Parents' introduced me to other people. Odd names. 'Relatives'? hmm.must consult Fuzzy on this matter. May have found another tortured child like myself. He is called Merry. Truly bizarre. All he does is suck his thumb and stare! I try having a conversation with him! Hmph! When I take over the shire he may be spared. He might make a good mindless minion but will have to wait and see.
Day 7
'Parents' have devised a new evil plan. They must have discovered my diary. I knew I could not trust Merry. This new devilry is a.. PLAYPEN! How horrible! FOUR WALLS TO HOLD ME IN! At least I have Fuzzy. Wait a minute, FUZZY? LT. FUZZY?!?! HE IS LOST!!!! NOOOOOOO!!!!!! They must have taken him in for questioning. Will return soon. Must take nappy.

Must find new soldiers! MERRY IS COMING TO ATTACK! Lt. Fuzzy has gone and--- OH! LOOK! A COOKIE!!!!!
