Inu Yasha's Poem
Inu yasha jumped down from the tree he was in and looked around. Everyone else was asleep except for him and he was bored.
"Stupid wench must have something in that huge pack of hers that I can do," he mumbled to himself and walked to her overflowing pack. The hanyou opened it up and looked inside. He didn't see anything interesting near the top so he dug through the pack. He noticed a bunch of blank paper and pulled it out. "Now all I need is something to write with…" he mumbled and continued to search through the pack. He smirked as he pulled out a pencil.
Inu yasha walked over to the fire and sat down a few feet away from it. He put the paper on him lap and started to draw. A faint growl could be heard and the hanyou crumpled the paper into a ball and tossed it into the fire. He decided to give up drawing and write instead.
At least my mother taught me how to write when I was a pup, he thought to himself. He picked up the pencil and though about what to write. After about ten minutes of thinking he finally decided to write a poem about Kikyo and Kagome. He put the pencil on the paper and began to write.
I love them both
What can I do?
There's no way
I can choose.
Both of them
I love very much;
When I'm around them,
They melt my heart.
Sometimes it makes me
Just wanna cry,
Knowing I'll eventually
Have to say goodbye.
But I will stay cheerful
Till that day comes,
Till the day when
I'll have to choose one.
Inu yasha read his poem and smirked slightly. "I'm better then I thought"
"Better then you thought at what?" a voice said behind him. He turned around only to see Kagome looking at him questioningly. After getting no response she moved a little closer to him. "Well?"
"None of your business wench," he growled as he tossed the paper into the fire.
"What was that?"
"I told you it's none of your business!"
"Jeeze, fine," she pouted as she walked back towards her sleeping bag.
Inu yasha moved his gaze to the fire and watched the last of his poem burn. Oh well, he thought, it's better that no one ever reads that… He stood up and went back to his tree so he could get at least a little sleep.
