I Will Never Forget

A/N: I just got done watching a Yu Yu Hakusho movie… And I totally fell in love with the past Kurama and Kuronue had together. It's based a little on the flashback in the movie and a little of my own AU… So, here is a poem that just hit me! Enjoy!

Running,
Running as fast as the wind through our hair,
We flee those who chase us,
After we looted their palace.
I run a little ahead,
My silver hair trailing behind me,
And my partner running behind,
Holding back any attack that may come.
I hear my friend cry out behind me,
Turing and running down the path.
I cry out to him to stop,
But he wants his pendant back.
I stop,
Watching him run towards what I feel will be his end,
Just to get back a simple pendant.
I lose sight of him and hear him cry out.
I run towards his cry,
Fearing the worst,
And come upon his impaled body;
Blood spurting from the bamboo that did the deed.
He screams at me to run,
As I know I should,
But I am paralyzed with horror,
As I watch his crimson life spurt from his body through the bamboo…
I awake screaming out his name,
"Kuronue!"
But I am alone in my room just like he is alone in the after life.
I should be with him…
I should never have run…
I feel as if I betrayed you Kuronue.
Please forgive me…
I'm sorry and I'll never forget you.
