The sky was heavy as thunderclouds were starting to form over the Commisaire lake. Judy was looking at them with admiration. She wasn't affraid of the storm or the lighnings like the majority of 5 years olds. Her older sister had already runned into the house but Judy wanted to stay. To her, it was just a big spectacle and she was looking foward to seeing the light show. A drop of water fell on her risen face, then a second. The rain abruptly began as it always does in that part of Quebec. Judy wasnt moving, letting that harmless water pour over her and wet her clothing. She looked around smiling then saw a flash of lightning in the corner of her eyes. She turned around, just in time to see another flash but it seamed unatural, kinfof metalic looking. The unidentified flying object entered the atmosphere and flew in her direction.
Just as another flash lightnened the sky, weird images flashed in Judy's mind. Images she wasn't able to express in word cause she was still not able to talk normaly but she knew these images were not good. Judy's face expressed surprise then fear as she runed inside the nearby barn. She had to hide, fast, before he found her. She did not knew from who or from what she was hiding from but she knew enough to try to find the best hiding place she could find.
After about two minutes of silence, she heard someone walking in and knew it was him. She knew that even well hiden, he could find her. She could already feel his eyes on her. Openening slighly her eyes confirmed that fact. He was there, imobile and silent. Staring at her with those white luminous eyes. She stared at him back, too scared to move, to say something.
"You dont know who I am " he affirmed and Judy could only nod. Her mind was flooded by images of a crisis, creatures panicked killing each other, storm bigger than usual, pink sky, yellow cloud, lightnings striking everywhere. The ground shaking as giant metalic looking arm aspired the planets energy. The silver man looking over all of this as a king look over his kingdom. A space ship, fleeing from the planet atmosphere, containing hundred of living creatures... and the one who's eyes had recorded this.
The weird looking man walked closer as he saw tears starting to fall from Judy's unfocused eyes. She was startled as he swept the tear away and looked at it. Then he looked at her, instinctively knowing what was taking place in her head. Racial memory kicking in was usually painfull and shoking...
"This was an old time and this time is over. Never will this happen by my hand. You dont have to be affraid, little girl. I will not take you away. You are as much from this world as it's original inhabitant. I will not hurt you "
The silver surfer turned around to leave the barn and Judy, startled by another vision let out a cry or surprise. As the surfer had touched her, she had gained a new memory and was now living the day when Zen-la had been taken from him. The surfer stoped walking and turned one last time to see her looking in his direction with her beautiful red eyes. " Sad " She wispered comming back to the present. " Yes I was... " He wave a hand in the direction of his board and it flew to him. " Dont worry little girl, I will see that this never happen to this planet as long as I live" He jumped on his board and soon was out of sight.
" Bye ! Silver... Surfer " Judy said looking at the rainy sky and waving, a smile now on her lips. She then runned back inside to wait until the rain was over and her sister could come out to play with her.
