Author's Note: As you all should know, I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! and all the other stuff in it.
OK, this is an interesting story. In English Class, we've been reading Edgar Allan Poe all week and I got the urge to write some sort of a Gothic or angst poem. After a few minutes, some freaky verses involving mirrors and reflections came to mind, so I tried to put two and two together. And one person came to mind a minute later—Bakura Ryou! ^_^ Anyhoo, enjoy!
Myself and the Mirror A poem about Bakura RyouWho are you? Why are you here?
Who is this creature that brings me fear?
He's so far away, yet so near
This creature who brings me fear
I sense it now. He's coming nearer
As I stare at the ring through the mirror
Why aren't things coming clearer?
Who's in the ring that I stare at in the mirror?
That ring of cursed gold!
Damn my father for being bold
To buy that cursed ring of gold!
Doesn't he see my life growing cold?
I look at my reflection and see
That cursed creature who is not me
Why can't anyone see?!
This creature, as evil as he may be
Is surely, definitely not me!
Someone, help! Help me, Yugi!
Save me from this torment that stares into my eyes!
All he tells me is empty promises and lies!
Look! He's smiling! Laughing at my eyes!
Laughing at how this weak little boy cries!
Now I see. Everything's clearer
This laughing creature—is myself—in the mirror
That's it! Did you like? Please review! And if you have any suggestions for a poem, let me know and I'll get cracking! ^_~
