Chapter XXI: This Woman's Work

"Alright Venus." Obento said. "I want you to push. Once I count to ten you can stop."
Venus nodded her head.
"April and Donatello, I need you ready." Obento glanced at Usagi to hand some gloves.
Venus took a deep breath. She was so scared.
"Ready."
"Yah." Venus nodded.

THREE
FOUR

Come on, you are doing good

TEN."
Venus let out a deep breath of relief.
"Relax." Obento comforted her.
Splinter wiped Venus forehead. "You're doing well, my child."
"Ready.

Pray God you can cope.

Raphael held Venus' hand as she pushed. He felt so helpless.
I stand outside this woman's work,
This woman's world.

Ooh, it's hard on the man,
Now his part is over.

"Come on Venus." Raphael squeezed her hand.

"Alright relax." Obento wiped his forehead. "Ready."

Raphael felt the tears burning in his eyes. "Come on baby."

"Alright, I have a head." Obento said. "I need one more big push."

"Donatello." Obento handed him a small baby turtle. "Congratulations. It's a boy."

Venus covered her mouth with her hand as Donatello cleaned up her crying baby boy.
Give them back to me.
"I have a son." Raphael said trying to fight back the tears.
Give me that little kiss.
He kissed Venus softly on the cheek.
Give me your hand.
"Come on." Obento said ready for round 2. "Ready."

Tears rolled down Venus eyes. "I can't do it."

"Yeah, you can." Raphael squeezed her hand. "You can."

Venus let out a deep breath.
"Come on Venus. You can't stop pushing."
Of all the things we should've said
That were never said.
"I can't do it any more." Giving up, Venus laid back.

"Yes you can." Raphael said. "I need you."
All the things that you needed from me.

Venus sat up and gave one last push.
Oh darling, make it go away.
Just make it go away now.
Venus sighed in relief as she heard another baby cry.
"It's a girl." Obento handed the little one to April.
Venus began crying.
"A girl." Raphael said in shock.
"Yes." Obento wiped his hands off on a towel Usagi handed him. "I must have looked at the ultrasound wrong."
Donatello handed the baby boy to Raphael. "Congratulations bro."
Raphael looked down at the small bundle in his arms. "Raili."
"Toni." Venus said as April handed her the baby girl.
Splinter began crying as her saw Venus and Raphael get closer together.
