Category: I'm not sure... just read it.
Rating: PG, maybe I don't know

Summary: It's December 21th and William has trouble falling asleep.
Author's Notes: This is my first story without dialogue! Anyway, I got the idea for it when I couldn't sleep last night. I hope it is alright.
December 21th; 10.26pm (that's for my grandmother! It's her birthday!) Van de Kamp household
William van de Kamp lay in his bed, not able to fall asleep. The day had been exhausting and he was very tired but his eyes wouldn't stay close. Will often had trouble falling asleep shortly before christmas or any other holidays, for that matter, but that night, he knew, was different. Will had a feeling that something was wrong. From time to time he had these feelings. Usually it was harmless, like he felt when his mother was sick before she even knew it. That day, he couldn't figure it out though.
People from the neighborhood often described Will as 'quiet and very weird' but they liked him nonetheless. Most of them knew, including himself, that he was adopted. Will loved his parents for telling him even more. At least he didn't have to ask about his nose, because neither his father nor his mother had it. Will had never met his biological parents but sometimes he felt strongly connected to them. His parents told him he could meet them when he was older. He was secretly waiting for that day. It wasn't that what bothered him that night either. It was something else, entirely.
Will sighed. Often when he couldn't sleep, what happened way too often for a 10-year old, he stared at his ceiling. His father had put stars on there and sometimes Will lost himself in these. When he was about six he had wanted to know more about stars. Together with his father he had read books and they put more stars on. Tonight, they had a very calming effect. Will finally felt his eyes closing. He thought about the stars, the fact that in a few days he would be showered with presents, his mother's wonderful christmas cookies, snow and his other parents. Little did he know christmas was not meant to be that year...
END
Ok, again, it turned out a little differently. I still hope you liked it at least a bit. Written by Anika
