Leviticus 18:22
"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination."

Why do You order such things?
Why can't we have sex
With one of our own gender?
It's only a form of love
But You deny us this
You made a law against it
And gave us no reason why
If we have no reason how can we know whether or not to obey?
Do we really need a reason?
You have given us so much
Food to eat
Clothes to wear
Friends and family
Nature
Love
Your life
You died for us
Yet we demand a reason
"Why?" we scream
"You say that You are love.
Then why do You deny us the pleasure of making love
Whenever and with whomever we want?
Give us a reason! Or we won't obey."
Is the fact that You commanded it
Not reason enough?
If we only follow Your laws because we agree with them
Are we really following You?
Or are we still following ourselves?
Perhaps that is why You've commanded
What You've commanded
So that we can truly follow You
And You only
I will follow You
Not because I understand the reasons behind Your commands
But because I have faith that You've commanded what You have for a reason
