Note: I don't own Ah! Megamisama/Oh My Goddess, but I enjoy reading it. Quite a bit. This is something I made up... about ten minutes ago, actually. ^_^ I hope it doesn't suck too much. (This is the revised version)

For the Love of Megami-sama...

By Warrior Kalia

It was a beautiful fall afternoon. The setting sun filtered its pinkish light through the gently rustling trees. A few leaves fell to the sidewalk below. A woman in a kimono gently swept the sidewalk in front of her house. A cat padded up the street. All was bliss.

The peace was broken by a loud growling coming from the Morisato household.

Keiko Morisato chewed on the end of her pen. "Food..." The brunette thought, dragging herself over to the phone. She had forgotten to go shopping again. "Need… Food…" She picked up the receiver and punched the preset button for her favorite okonomiyaki place with the hot delivery-boy. The phone didn't even ring once before someone picked up the phone. "Hello, you have reached the Goddess Technical Helpline-" "Wha-?" Keiko thought as the gentle female voice continued. "- I'll be stopping by for a consultation!" The voice said cheerfully. "Uhm, hello? Excuse me? What do you mean? Hello?" Keiko desperately tried to attract the attention of whoever had been on the phone- she was bloody well hungry! A soft voice startled Keiko.

"Hello? May I come in?" Said the woman in the wall.

Wait a sec…

Keiko stared at the woman.

She blinked.

She blinked again.

She blinked a third time.

And she fainted.

"Are you all right?"

A blurry shape above Keiko moved. "Whuh?" Keiko mumbled. "Whahappen?" "You fainted. I'm afraid that my entrance was a bit too strange for you; I'm very sorry." The woman said. She had long, light brown hair and a very soft voice. Her pale hands were feeling Keiko's forehead. "I was worried…" "Well, thank you so much…"

About a half hour later, they sat at the table in the dining room, several plain okonomiyaki in front of them, along with some tea the woman had insisted on making. Keiko coughed uncomfortably.

"Um… Who are you? I don't really have anything worth stealing, so…" She said, hoping she didn't sound too rude. The woman looked confused. "I'm not here to steal anything… I came to grant you a wish." She said. "So, what, you're a genie?" Keiko asked sarcastically. "No, I'm a goddess." The woman replied.

Keiko stared. "Um… What?"

"I'm a goddess. I came to grant you one boon. What would you like?" She replied. Keiko looked at the woman. Though completely insane, she might make okay company…

"Welllllll… Um… I-… Would…" Keiko stammered. A warmth filled her heart suddenly, and she relaxed, and found the words slipping from her mouth before she could stop herself. "I want a goddess like you to stay with me always." A second's pause and Keiko clapped her hands to her mouth. The diamond shape on the woman's forehead glowed, and a shaft of light reached towards the heavens from it.

"What the…" Keiko thought. "What… huh… wha… Hello, floor." Was Keiko's last thought before meeting up with the ground again.
