She stands alone, in the middle of a very large, dark room. Somewhere in the distance a sound is heard, quiet at first, then magnifying in echos until she's covering her ears, trying to block out the sounds. A scraping is heard, seeming to be right next to her. She stands, frozen, paralyzed in fright. A slow raspy breathing starts, not loud enough to be real, but loud enough. She shakes her head with her eyes clamped shut, telling herself if was her imagination. Though she is in pitch blakness already, the room seems to get steadily darker, until she's got the feeling she's lost herself. Her body has melted in with the darnkess, leaving only her mind to sream soundlessly. With a rush of determination she wrenches her body forward, too aware of the numbness in her hands and feet.

Suddenly, so quick it makes her dizzy, she's on a boat, out in wht seems to be the ocean. It's vastness seems to ripple, yet stay calm. She shivers, and immeadietly the boat tips dangerously. She sits up, froze. Yes...there it was. The breathing sound again. And....through the dim light she could see something, anything, steadily moving twoards the boat. She let out a ragged breath and quickly put a hand over her mouth. This makes the boat lean to one side, and she leans just slightly the other way for balance. The boat, howver, doesn't agree. She's tipped into the cold dark water, left to flail frantically and stare wide eyed at the small bump heading twoards her. It gets larger and larger, until it's towering above her from fifty feet away. She still can't make out what it is. She takes a deep breath......and relaxes.

She's in her own house now. From upstairs comes the sounds of rummaging, people walking around, knocking things over. She bites her lip. She's defensless. She looks around...theres nothing she could make into a weapon. She hears a shot being fired, and flinches. Her lip is bleeding now, and she's shivering. She strains her ears, but the noises have dissapeared. Standing there, at the bottom of the stairs, she sees the door at the top slowly opening. A sliver of light falls over her face and she sees and eye peering at her. Before the door can open any more, she takes a step forward......

.....and is falling into open air. Falling, falling, falling. The air that's rushing past her is cold and sharp, whipping her hair into her face and her head back. She curls up into a ball, and then spreads her arms and legs. Oening her eyes, realizing they'd been closed, she sees a very large, bare desert. A lizard scampers across the ground and hisses up at her. Making a decision, she looks down at the lizard.........and sticks her tongue out at it.

She's sitting on a cold floor, looking at a wall. She narrows her eyes and stands up.....only to find she cant. She looks down......there are her legs, folded and looking peachy. She frowns. Sticking out a finger, she pokes her leg. Nothing. Paniking now, she tries to get up, then realizes that, while her legs wont respond........her arms do. Smiling, she pushes her arms against the floor....and stands up. The wall she was looking at becomes a door, and she collapes to it.

The door opens to the outside, and she blinks in the bright light. There are people gathered around her. 'For...' she thinks. She can't remember. Someone spots her, and people are running twoards her.....now she remembers. She smiles weakley, and wispers, "Piece of cake,".......before she faints.
