Disclaimer : I don't own Albus Dumbledore
Note : In memory of the great Richard Harris. I wrote this reflecting upon Albus Dumbledore, for I think that is how all Harry Potter fans view him, as the GREATEST Headmaster Hogwarts had ever seen. Each stanza is reflecting some of the greatest moments in the first four books, and if you think carefully, I'm sure you'll know what they are. Also, at the bottom, one of my favorite quotes of his, and my philosophy of life.
Mr. Harris, you were truly a great man, and an incredible actor. I would like to express the thanks of Harry Potter fans everywhere, for you brought to life the wisdom, love, and wit that made us all so fond of Albus Dumbledore. You will forever be in our hearts. Rest in peace, and know that, in your time spent here on earth, you were loved.
*~* Albus Dumbledore : In Memory of a Great Man *~*
Oh, how wise was he
that sat so stern,
his shoulders back,
his jaw set firm.
How strong his voice,
when it commands,
respect and order,
beneath his hands.
How fierce his face,
when in his power,
he withdrew his grace,
in one dark hour.
How quick his mind,
in desperate time,
to save the innocent,
accused of crime.
How gentle was the heart that broke,
when evil stepped in with fate,
to take away a young man's hope,
and turn his mind to cruel hate.
Yet how his eyes do sparkle so,
with wit and humor beneath his brow,
and carry no signs of age or woe,
only joy of living here and now.
How cold that hand that once was soft,
how swiftly our tears flow, what's more,
How terribly our hearts will miss,
our wise, beloved Dumbledore.

"It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."
- Albus Dumbledore
