There was a light touch on his arm and he expected to see another girl. Or Relena. He couldn't tell which would be worse.
"I don't dance," he said while turning to face his newest tormentor whose face would be forgotten in an instant.
Instead there was a familiar face, a heart-shaped face, with large blue eyes that held a tint of violet. Chestnut brown hair pulled back into a braid with wisps floating around the cherubim face. The cheeks were slightly flushed, but not from excitement or too much alcohol, but embarrassment.
"After all these parties you still can't dance?" the voice was slightly mocking, yet curious at once. "Did J think dancing wouldn't be important?" it teased.
"I didn't say I can't dance. I said I don't dance. As in I choose not to," he defended.
"Dance with me," Duo said. It wasn't a question. The large eyes sparkled with the life they always seemed to have. Duo turned to the dance floor knowing he would follow.
