A/N: This poem (or the main idea of it) may be mine, but there a lot of quotes and phrases from JRR Tolkien, so all credit goes to him – I wouldn't have written this if he hadn't written The Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers. So, as some of you may have guessed, this is found poetry. A found poem, where I 'find' phrases or quotes from a book that I like, and add in some of my own stuff, and create a poem.

Entrapment of Terror

Too long you have sat in shadows

And trusted in twisted tales

And

Crooked promptings.

Unmoving, even with the knowledge of your wise power,

Even with the phantoms of your craft,

Avenging death in your name.

Awaiting, for the beginning of the end.

Behold, as lightning swiftly falls,

Thunder rolls.

Moving in and out of the mists of time.

Weapons they have laid of your doors,

That are worth many a mortal man;

Even the mightiest.

Yet you watch, hiding, dark and sullen

As fire and death take

The lives,

The souls,

Of many men.

Unaware, that they have passed  like rain on a mountain;

Like a wind in the meadow.

Nonetheless, they say the time for fear is passed;

Even thought few mortal eyes

Have seen the light;

That lies there

Ever long and bright.

Like a morning of pale spring,

As cool as steel,

As restless as a river,

You wait.

Unmoving.

For the day

You can unleash

Your wrath of terror

Among the people,

Outside this prison,

This cage.
