I do not own any Tenchi characters. I did write the poem though, and it's called the Nightmare.

What do you do when a nightmare comes to you?

Do you hide under the covers of the night?

Did the lights leave you?

Was the nightmare under your bed,

In the shadows,

Or in your head?

Did you run every which way?

Did you see,

The monsters following you?

Did the dark of the night scare you?

Were you alone?

Did you cried for someone,

When just before the morning dawn,

The monster came,

And you saw,

Only You.

The dark is a very scary place.

There are demons and monsters that feed on fear.

They follow me everywhere; lurking in the shadows they make me want to run.

The darkness is a very bad place where only the preys of the demons and monsters goes.

I want desperately to leave; yet sometimes I feel that I belong there.

The pain and fear is what I deserve, for in my deepest being, I am one of them.

I am a demon I am Ryoko.

It took me thousands of years to find out that it's hopeless in the dark.

No matter what you do or how loud you cry there is no escaping the dark abyss.

Yet I find, with Tenchi, the darkness only comes at night.

There may be some days where it leaps out of its hiding and covers the sun but not every day.

So I live during the days and I survive the nights, it's not so bad after all.
