Shadow of Darkness

I am the Shadow of Darkness,

lurking in the recess is my life.

Griping the many strings of life in my hand,

Pulling those of which bring me to sorrow.

You might be safe in your lit home,

but emerge into the darkness and your in my world.

Walking with me in the depths of time,

Try to understand the truth of my existence.

For it is in the Shadows where I was born,

And it is in the Shadows where I die.

I am the Shadow of Darkness,

lurking alone and cold.

My body can't feel the warmth of love,

My body can only feel the cold hard truth.

Come into my world,

The dark endless abyss.

Come with me and for a moment you will see,

You will see the truth of my existence,

The truth of what I am.

But never think that your alone,

I lurk within your shadow form the light.

I am the Shadow of Darkness,

I am everywhere but nowhere.

I am the very thing you fear the most,

challenge me and you will be struck down dead.

I grip the fabric of life,

And cold steel of death.

I am the Shadow of Darkness,

My sword is the answer to your cries.

Walking through the shadow of darkness,

My tears of sorrow are crimson red.

My blade is stained by my enemies,

My heart colder with each strike.

Nor did I wish for this life,

Nor did I wish to be.

I can never turn back the time,

For time has turned its back on me.

I am the Shadow of Darkness,

My soul never to see the light again.

My life striped away from me,

only to search for power.

My heart filled with an empty cold void,

My eyes filled with the reflection of those I killed.

My fate was all set,

I AM the Shadow of Darkness.

Known only as Sephiroth.
