They Said

(Actually this poem is mine but I thought it would be something Liz would write)
They said, "It could never be,"
They lied
They said, "That I'd forget him,"
I cried
They said, "I'd meet someone new,"
I walked away
They said more
I stopped listening to there devilish lies
They said, "He was alive,"
I didn't say a thing
They started to talk
Just then the doorbell began to ring.
They told me, "Open the door,"
I didn't believe what I saw
They said, "It could never be,"
But there he was looking back at me.
