Darien, Meet Mikan Shiratori!

Disclaimer: I do not own Sailor Moon. Too bad, though!

Chapter 1

"Here, Serena. Have some hot chocolate." Darien Shields said.

"Thanks, Darien." Serena Tsukino cautiously sipped her treat.

"You do know that I'm going out of town for a week, don't you?" Darien asked.

"Oh yeah," Serena sighed. "I forgot."

"I wish you could come with me, but you have school, and we wouldn't have any free

time together." He also sighed.

'Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!' went her communicator.

"Hello?" She asked into the small wrist jewel.

"Serena?" Amy Anderson asked.

"We need you at Cherry Hill Temple as soon as possible." She explained.

"Fine, I'll leave in a couple minutes. Bye," Serena closed the jewel with a 'click.'

"Well, I guess I'd better get going." She informed Darien.

"Are you sure you want to go?" he questioned her.

"I don't want to, but I probably should."

"Do you want me to go with you?" Darien asked.

"No thanks." She replied.

"Brrrr." Serena thought as she skimmed the sidewalk.

'I wonder what's so important. I don't feel like Sailor Moon right now.

I feel like Frozen Moon!' she thought.

Finally, she got to the temple.

She knocked on the door, and Lita Kino answered it.

Lita had a scowl on her face at the moment.

"What's with her?" Serena asked Raye Hino.

"Oh, nothing. She's just mad 'cause Mina was spreading some private secrets that Lita

had told her to keep to herself. She finally just sat by the fireplace and read a romance

novel."

"Where's Mina right now?" Serena asked.

"She's asleep on the couch." Raye said.

"Then where's Rini?" Serena questioned.

"She's asleep in the chair. You'd think they were related at the moment." Amy observed.

'Ring,' went Serena's cell phone.

"Hello? Oh . . . why didn't you tell me it was tonight? I see . . . yeah . . . okay. Bye."

Serena said into her pink phone.

"Who was that?" asked Lita.

"Oh, it was just Darien telling me he was leaving now. And hey, why did you guys call

over?" Serena asked.

"Darien didn't want to tell you the whole truth. He's staying for a year where he's

going." Raye explained.

Serena slowly sat down, crying like he had died.

"Thanks." She sadly said.

"Flight fifteen! Last call! Last call flight fifteen!"

the airport speakers bellowed.

'Serena, I'm sorry. I'll miss you so much." Even Darien's shirt collar was drenched

in tears.

"Hey, man! Cryin' over yer gurl?" someone asked.

"Pretty much, yeah." Darien replied, his eyes closed.

"Yer goin' to old Pari, right? There's more cute 'n' cuddly gals there than there are

stars in the sky."

"But I don't want anyone else." Darien stated.

"All in good time, my friend. All in good time. I promise: you'll move on sooner or

later." The man said.

"You just don't get it." Darien sighed.
