Endless Fury
A poem by Selphie Tilmitt

by Jennifer Douglas

(For Smokey... RIP)

Bizarre, barren wastelands
Once held to be my home
Now doomed to be lost and forgotten
To all but those who roam

And now the beauty, revered and loved
Is lost to an endless fury
Scarring deep in the flesh of innocents
With an evil, maladious jury

And why, tell me now, did this happen to you
Oh sweet edifice of mine
I want to go back, to see you, to love you
And taste your motherly wine

And left in the clatter and in the dust
Is a single memory
Of a time passed by and almost gone
Through forces, unforseen

This endless fury, will it be stopped
In it's rage that manipulates all
Is it faceless, tangeable, alive
And will it ever fall

And in the end, when all is lost
Will there be a world to return
And if there is, when life goes on
Will anyone even learn

My life crashed down that fateful day
Crushed and bruised and burned
When my friends are gone, beloved, lost
Who is there to whom I can turn?

~AN~: My mousie died ;_; I loved poor little Smokey ;_; Damn cats >.;;; But anyway, in case you didn't read my little story description, this is a poem, written by me, in the persona of Selphie Tilmitt. It's supposed to be just after they go to Trabia, just to find it in ruins. Selphie's always so energetic and happy, but I read her last diary entry (right after Trabia) and she says 'it's hard to act cheerful when you're really not'. THAT (and the fact that Smokey died) was my inspiration. ..... REVIEW!!!!

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Selphie Tilmitt, for if I did I would be having kinky lesbian sex right now..... but really, don't sue me. My mouse just died; that'd be cold man, really cold.
