"Gromit," said Wallace around a mouth full of crackers, "I think we're out of cheese."
Gromit put down the paper with a sigh (the headline read "Massive cheese shortage sweeps the country") and padded off to the kitchen. He looked in the fridge and in the cupboards, there was not a piece of cheese in sight. He shook his head as boxes upon boxes of crackers fell on him from the cupboard he had just opened. Then he went to the front door and took his dog sweater off the hook and was just about to open the door when Wallace interrupted.
"Come on Gromit" called Wallace going down to the basement. His arms were full of crackers. Gromit's eyes widened for a moment but then he understood. He shrugged and dismissed the idea of simply going to the store to buy more cheese and joined Wallace in the basemen

The great red rocket loomed up above them, it seemed bigger and more impressive than the last time they had seen it. Wallace climbed up the ladder an into the rocket somehow managing not to drop anything. Gromit went and lit the fuse then followed Wallace.
Inside Gromit started the count down, 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...Pffffft! Wallace and Gromit were both braced for lift off but nothing had happened. Wallace opened one eye and looked around, then opened the other eye to make sure the first wasn't mistaken.
It wasn't, they were still firmly planted, well...tilted, on the ground. Wallace unstrapped him self and climbed out of the rocket, Gromit following, to see what to problem was.
It was simple enough, they had merely run out of fuel. The unfortunate thing was you couldn't buy rocket fuel for home use anymore thanks to a new law just passed by the prime minister.
"This just won't do Gromit" said Wallace " We need that cheese. I suppose we'll just have to go to the Chelsea Cheese Farm."
The Chelsea Cheese Farm was some 30 miles away from Wallace and Gromit's home. It was a desolate place, dark and gloomy with huge iron gates which swung on rusty hinges. Wallace took a deep breath and placed his hand on Gromit's head.
"Come on boy, there's nothing to be afraid of," He gulped "Lets go in and get our cheese."
The gate creaked open reluctantly at Wallace's Gentle push. As the pair walked up the winding cobblestone path they could see huge thunder clouds gathering overhead. It looked like there was going to be a terrible storm.

Author's Note: This is my first W&G fic (obviously since there's only one other) and I never knew how difficult it would be to write something from a movie. They don't talk enough!! I need your opinion something: do you think that since Gromit is a smarter than normal dog he would dislike cats? I'm not sure if there is going to be any cat's in the next chapter or not I'm just curious. Please review and tell me what you think of my fic any suggestions would be appreciated, I'll write the second chapter after midterms!
