I don't own any Shining Force characters, nor do I own the song that this is for.
This will spoil the end of the game for those few who may not have beaten it. And I mean it spoils it.
Explanation: This is going to be strange, so bear with me. I got hold of the soundtrack for Final Fantasy 6 and listened to track 14, by Nobuo Uematsu, and swore to myself that that HAD to be Shining Force music, aside from the obvious fact that it was on FF6's soundtrack. It felt SO Shining Force, in fact, that I HAD to write lyrics. I've looked back, and I have to say that if you look at it as a poem, or even perhaps as lyrics, it's not that good, but it all fits with the time of the music. Test it if you like. It's also been bugging me, so I had to type it up as well.

There was long ago, a great battle,
And it was fought by an army,
And this wee army was to battle
One final evil mage.
When they fought this one final battle,
They defeated the evil mage,
But the evil mage gave his power,
He gave it to one more.
And the evil mage's power was used for a great dragon.
And the evil dragon fought with,
He fought with three huge heads.
So the army
Fought all three heads,
And when they beat
Two of the three huge heads,
All knew
The wee army knew that they must fight
The third and final dragon's head,
But when they beat it, it was not dead,
So they were to fight more.
But the leader of the wee army
Raised his sword up high,
And then her turned the sword upside down,
As he placed it
Inside the dragon's heart.
But the great dragon was not done yet,
For then he trapped the young leader.
Then that leader was left to drown,
Because he had freed the rest.
The castle sank,
Deep in the sea,
While the boy was
Hanging onto the magic sword.

Yeah, its not well-written, and very repetitive, but It wouldn't leave me alone til I wrote it. I'd love to hear other versions...
