Don't Bet on Love Chapter 2
Lily smiled as she picked up her school books for her seventh and final year at Hogwarts. She had been living with James, Remus, and Sirius over the summer. Peter, sadly, had decided to move in with his love interest, a slytherin, Erin Lenniagolas.
Lily's sister, Petunia, had been irking her lately, because she had somehow come to the realization that witches and wizards were bad. So Lily, dating James Potter at the time, had decided to move in with him and his two best friends.
Heading out of Flourish and Blotts and then traveling back to the small house, way out in the countryside where she was now living, by Floo powder, Lily thought to herself, "I wish James would ask me to marry him. I love him so much and-" Lily was cut off as everything came into view again.
She was standing in a quaint house with neat, simple furnishings she knw well. She had bought them, anyway. Sirius was smiling as he changed into a dog and chased a stray cat out in the yard. Remus was reading a book on werewolves called Werewolves: The Lastest Remedies.
And James. James was standing at the door way, looking outside as if waiting for someone. As soon as he heard her 'thump' of a landing, he turned around and smiled at her with a look of love.
