"Clark, what happened to you?" Chloe asked, her eyes wide.
"What?" Clark asked, looking down.
"You look horrible," Chloe said, her eyes wide in horror.
"It's not as bad as it looks," Clark assured her, his cheeks turning a deep pink.
"Trust me, it is," Chloe said as her cell phone rang. "Chloe Sullivan. Oh, hey. Yeah. I'll be right there."
"Who was that?" Clark asked.
"Pete, I have to go. Do me a favor. Put something on top of that," Chloe said, pointing at Clark. With a shake of her head she left.
"I don't get it," Clark said, looking down. "I thought bell bottom pants were back in style." With a shrug he left.
