I originally posted this first chapter monthes ago, but took it down to make some revisions. This chapter was written with my friend Tsumi no Miko, but I'm writing the rest of the fic myself. (Big thanks to my friend, though, for continued inspiration and encouragement.) The story obviously takes place shortly after the first series, since Manx and Birman are still alive, and Aya-chan is awake.

Disclaimer:: we do not own Weiss or Ranma 1/2.
This story contains a Ranma 1/2 plot device,
but since we do not like the cast of Ranma none
of them will appear in this fic. This is a fic
spawned by a thought:

What would the Weiss boys look like as
kitties?

Neko
chapter one by Koyasu and Tsumi no Miko

Birman sat at her desk working. Manx came in
wearing a rain coat and carrying a large box
with holes in the
top. She set it down on Birman's desk.

"We have a problem, Birman."

"What?" Birman asked, eyeing the box.

Four cats popped out of the box and sat on the
desk, grooming themsleves. The first was all
brown with purple eyes. He was grooming the
second cat, a bulkier, tannish tabby with black
stripes and blue eyes. The third cat just lie
there. He had sleepy green eyes and
fluffy tan and white fur. The last cat was
smaller than the rest and black, with large,
inocent blue eyes.

"This is the problem."

"They're cats."

"Yes. These cats are Ran and the others", Manx
said, petting Yoji.

Birman's eyes widened as she looked at the
four cats. Neko-Ran looked up at her and
nodded.

"How did this happen?" she asked Manx.

"Well you know how their last mission was to
deal with those smugglers? They dealt with the
smugglers and got splashed by one of the water
barrels that held something called the spring
of drowned cat", Manx said looking at
them. "They told me all this and
then it started to rain."

"So, can we change them back?"

"Yes. With hot water they can change back. But
they would be a bit uncomfortable here, since
their clothes don't fit their cat bodies."

"I see. You should see that they return to the
shop and tell Aya-chan and Sakura-chan."

"Right, back in the box guys." She picked up
Yoji and dumped him in the box, the others
following him in.

"Brad-", Nagi began.

"I know, Nagi", the clarvoyant sighed, holding
up a hand to shush the boy. "Farfarello sliced
up all your clean clothes. He shredded my
checkbook up yesterday. He really has become a
big problem."

Moments later, the Irishman wandered into the
living room. "You wanted to see me, Bradley?"

"Yes", Crawford confirmed, eyeing Schuldig
with displeasure. "Must you always page him
with telepathy?"

"I was napping", the German yawned, stretching
out on the couch.

Crawford simply shook his head. "Lazy, good for
nothing...", he thought, scolding himself for
not seeing this coming.

"Love does strange things to the mind",
Schuldig smirked. "You know you can't live
without me, pet."

Crawford ignored the telepath, turning his
attention to Farfarello.

"Farfarello, if you wish to stay in our good
graces -"

"God is Grace. God is good", Farfarello almost
chanted. "If I live without grace, God hurts."

"He's bored", Schuldig concluded. "I think he
wants to kill something."

"Killing hurts God", Farfarello grinned. "Let's
play. Let's hurt the flower boys."

"Weiss?", Nagi looked up, visibly upset. Why
should we bother them? We have no reason to-"

"Sounds like a good time", Schuldig smiled,
finally standing. "What time does the shop
close? We'll be there to greet them when they
leave."
