Mercuria: Well, what a surprise. It's another one of Mercuria's extremely bombastic poems that tells you things you don't particularly care about.
Today, folks, I'm going to try (yet again) to explain my beliefs in poem form.
**********

If there's a will
there's a why
why this
why that
why the moon and the clouds
why the stars in the sky
just why

And I wonder
is this what is human?
this quest for the answer
stretching into oblivion
past what I see
past what I know?
As for myself
I wish not for answers
I am what I am
That is my reality

Ancient ideals resurface
fish swimming in the ink of the ocean
and yet
with every repetition
with each time these ideals are believed in
they change
metamorphose
emerging from their chrysalis
as a phoenix
But the world is a kaleidoscope
mercurial like the wind
and to survive, you must adapt
The butterfly phoenix buries itself in the ashes
to arise yet again
as a new fire
a new ideal

A shadow drifts across the moon
and as I see it
time freezes
suspension of movement
and all that there is in this world
is me
and the moon
and the shadow
In this moment, I see what it is
to believe in forever
Because although the moment fades to a dusty scrapbook photo
at that time
all that there ever was and ever will be
lies before me
An eternal instant
vanishing like magician's smoke
the instant after

Close your eyes
You see the dark behind the lids?
What is it?
The absence of light
the absence of pain
a million slumbering possibilities
Then lashes flutter open
and it is gone
the moment lost forever
But close your eyes again
and the birth of your silent world
will take place once more
And there is no miracle
no choirs of angels
Just you
and the void

Mercuria: Reviews and interpretations always appreciated. Peace out!
