ROUGH NIGHT
I was flipping through channels on the TV when Robin came in and plopped down on the couch beside me. "Hey. Bad night."
"You don't know the half of it, Cassie." He growled.
I turned off the TV (there wasn't anything good on anyway) and turned to look at Robin for the first time since he sat down. His hair was a mess, his cape torn, and his suit torn in different places. He looked as rough as he sound. Oww, really bad night. "Want to talk about it?"
"There's nothing to talk about. The night went like it usually does."
"Right. Only you don't usually come back looking like something the cat drug in."
"Yeah well, believe it or not this was done after the fight."
"What?" I was trying not to laugh at that last statement.
"The security dogs at the place didn't take to kindly to me. They decided they'd let me take care of the hoods and then they'd make sure I wasn't a threat."
Now I couldn't hold my laughter in any longer. "Dogs did that. Let me get this straight. You can fight lunatics and other hoods without getting a scratch, but you couldn't handle a few dogs?"
"So sue me. First of all, I didn't know there were security dogs there and secondly they came up from behind."
"Oh so it was a sneak attack," I laughed nearly in tears now.
"Yeah, go ahead and laugh." He got a walked away while I was rolling on the floor. Just then Kon-El walked in. He looked at me as I was trying to get my laughter under control again.
"What's so funny?" He asked.
"Guess what happened to Robin tonight?"
