The broken line (between Elros, son of Eärendil and Elwing, and Aragorn, son of Arathorn) represents the Kings of Númeneor, the Lords of Andúnië, the Kings of Arnor and the Chieftains of the Dúnedain in direct descent through the Second and Third Ages. There are simply too many names to record here. Wherever it applies, males are on the left hand side of each tree branch, such as with married couples. However, there are a couple of discrepancies. Finwë had two wives, Míriel and Indis. Celebrian, Elrond's wife, is shown to the left rather than the right due to the layout of the family tree. Only the more familiar elves have been added to this family tree due to the risk of over - complication. Fingolfin ( son of Finwë and Indis) had a family, for which a separate tree is shown here.

Erlond Elros
As shown in this work, Arwen's parents are Elrond and Celebrian. Her paternal grandparents are Eärendil and Elwing, whose other son, Elros, is both Arwen's uncle and Aragorn's forebear. This shows that Arwen and Aragorn are related by blood, as well as being adopted brother and sister. Arwen's paternal great-grandmother is the fabled Lúthien. Arwen's mother, Celebrian, is the daughter of Galadriel and Celeborn. Gil-galad is Galadriel's second cousin, and therefore Arwen's second cousin twice removed.
