Lara couldn't help but stare at his streamlined form under the light of the full moon. The churching dark water splashed against the bottom parts of her yacht, otherwise all was silent out there on the open sea. She had earned some much needed vacation after getting a cold hard dose of reality. One of her childhood heroes, it had turned out had proved anything but. She had always wanted to meet Lydia Blake, had always dreamed what their first encounter would be like. Sometimes things were best left to fantasy.

She tried to convince herself that she'd get over this like all the other hardships and tribulations she had faced before. Few things had brought her to tears in recent years and she couldn't remember shedding them in front of another human being.

Tsang. Was he human? He certainly felt and looked that way. For a guy seemingly centuries old, he sure appeared healthy and dare she admit, yummy. If all monks like him were that virile at that age, then she'd consider coming to Tibet a little more often.

Lara chuckled at the thought. For some reason she trusted him. In their initial meeting, she could have blown his head off given his rather cannibalistic comment. But there was something in those Jade green eyes, his demeanor that made her feel at ease. Hell, even if he had some ulterior motive, he did help her escape that trap. And try as hard as she could to deny it, his touch when he tried to comfort her, well she planned to get more of that.

Wasn't that why she had asked him to come with her on this mini-vacation? Lara rarely had time for such frivolous things. But it wasn't everyday you came across and individual as interesting as Tsang Do Khyi.

"Couldn't sleep?" she asked, coming up behind him then taking a seat on the deck alongside him.

"Sleep?" he repeated with a wry grin. "That's something I rarely do, have not done for quite a long time now."

"You might get bored staying awake all night doing nothing but watching the water," she offered, a little teasingly.

"Actually it is refreshing being out here in nature. Keeps the mind clear," he countered.

"Well you might not say that after being up for 48 hours tomorrow," she laughed.

"Perhaps, but right now I'm not tired."

"I could think of some things which we could do to pass some time then we could fall asleep." Lara said, trailing her fingers along his arm.

The monk flinched reflexively. It amused her to try and get a rise out of him.

"Tell me," she asked. "Are you forbidden ascetics and the pursuit of happiness?" He coughed, cleared his throat and eyed her warily. "I'm allowed to eat meat and have wine."

"What about women? If you weren't allowed, then what the bloody hell are you doing here with me?"

"You do have a point. Perhaps we could retire to your chambers for the evening?"

She blinked. His face remained serious. "O- okay.."

Much later they lay beside each other in the darkness, energy and passion well spent.

"Tsang?"

"Yes Lara?"

"I thought you monks had great control over your autonomic nervous systems and such."

"We do."

"Okay, I won't hold all those centuries of celibacy against you then," she chuckled.
