~Before the CIA, before SD-6, before Francie, her double agent job, UCLA, before Vaghun and Will, there was Sydney Bristow. A teenage high school girl with a mind of her own. Not to mention a temper. ~

"SYDNEY!! Wake up! You're going to be late and I have a meeting with a potential customer in an hour!" Jack Bristow shouted up the stairs to his teenage daughter. Sydney groggily rolled out of bed and stumbled to the bathroom. Taking a quick shower she dressed and went downstairs, skipping breakfast again. Instead she shoved fifty cents in her pocket for a snack between classes. Ignoring her fathers' glare at her eating habits, she grabbed her book bag and dashed out the door before he could say anything. Breathing in the mid-November L.A. air, she began her 10-minute walk to school. As she trudged past Ms. Menses' house, Mark shot at her nearly knocking her legs out from under her. Scooping him up, she handed him to her yawning babysitting employer. "Thanks Syd, you're a doll. Hey, can you watch the kids tonight?" she said, taking a long gulp of coffee and calmly holding the squirming kid. "Uh, yeah, of course," she said, smiling as her only school aged kid came out of the house carrying her book bag and lunchbox. "I'm ready to go, Mommy! Hi Syd-syd! Are YOU taking me to school today?" Charlotte asked, turning her huge blue eyes upward. Sydney glanced at her watch. She had at least 20 minutes till she absolutely had to be at school. And the elementary school was half a block from her school. Not to mention Ms. Menses already had her hands full with Mark, James and Zack. "Sure I am kiddo!" Sydney said, already knowing she had Charlottes' mothers' approval. "You are a lifesaver, Syd," she mouthed as Charlotte gave her mother a hug. Sydney smiled and turned to follow Charlotte up the street to their schools. At Einstein Elementary School, she gave Charlotte a hug and watched her as she disappeared into the building. Sighing, she headed down the street to her own school, George Washington High School, her daily prison.
