Yagami Taichi stretched his arms, and then folded the behind his head. He sat casually on a park bench in the middle of an Odaiba park, with people all around him. It was roughly noon, as the sun was high in the sky, and Taichi enjoyed just sitting there, listening to kids playing and people passing by.

He looked very comfortable, as he was dressed in khaki colored shorts, sneakers, and a loose fitting blue T-shirt. A pair of sunglasses hung off of the neck of his shirt, and Taichi smiled to himself.

He enjoyed soaking up the sun…this was probably the happiest he had been in a long time. Up to now, his thoughts had been plagued by thoughts of his best friend, Takenouchi Sora, the one he loved.

Not today, though.

Today, Taichi pushed all of those thoughts away, as it was too nice a day to be miserable. This in mind, he shut his eyes, and tilted his head towards the sky.

He stayed like that for awhile, trying to ward off all thoughts of her. She was with Yamato – and if she was happy, he was happy. It wasn't like they didn't hang out or anything, so really, things could have been worse.

His eyes snapped open suddenly, as if he somehow sensed her approaching him. Taichi cursed himself as his heart began to race faster, although he remained looking collected on the outside.

He looked around him and quickly caught sight of her, or should he have said…them.

They passed right in front of the very bench he sat on, walking together with Yamato doing most of the talking, which was really unsurprising. They didn't hold hands, or have arms around each other or anything, which Taichi took as a good sign.

He followed them with cautious eyes, his arms now slung over the back of the park bench. In reality, he kept his eyes on her, not him. He ignored Yamato – just as Yamato was doing to him just then. His blonde haired 'friend' knew that he was in sight, but yet, he looked ahead, and paid him no attention.

She looked great, as usual, wearing loose fitting faded blue jeans and a red fitted T-shirt. Yamato, on the other hand wore his school uniform (for some reason – Taichi wasn't really sure) with his tie slung loosely around his neck. Personally, Taichi thought that he and Sora were more compatible than Yamato and Sora, but he was biased.

They walked slowly by him, but he continued looking at her – how her hair shone in the bright sunlight, and how beautiful her eyes are when she turned and looked at him, and then –

Taichi almost fell off of his bench.

She just winked at me…

He looked at her again, and saw her trying to stifle a laugh as she pretend to listen to what Yamato had to say.

They were almost passed now, but Taichi clearly saw Sora drop something on the ground. Taking this as his cue, he quickly retrieved it and was back on his bench in a matter of seconds.

He looked up, and saw Sora look back at him, grin a bit, and then return her attention to Yamato. She gave him a loose peace sign behind her back, and then they were out of sight.

Taichi unfolded the piece of paper, his hands trembling, and muttering to himself, "What the hell was that?"

He read the piece of paper, his chocolate brown eyes wide in surprise.

I won't be long now, so please wait for me awhile longer.
