Glaring dream 3rd draft

Little diamonds creep from the sky, it's empty now, this icy street. I'm lost in the crowd. Memories slip away like awareness slips away after Dramamine. I see them running around my feet like little kids playing tag. This street is like a blazing fire, but I'm so cold, so lost. I walk around pointlessly looking for some light. My mind goes to my dream last night. I saw myself slipping through my own hands. I clearly remember staring around and I found you! I scamper to kiss you, but halfway, I realize, you're just a silhouette. You smile and slowly walk away. I followed you. As I began walking, I woke up. The agony of isolation left me shaking in a damp sweat. Tonight I will dream of you again. I really don't want to see tomorrow. However, if I had a chance to say one last thing to you, I wouldn't know what to say. In your last week, my mouth was saying words, but not words I want you to hear, or me to say.

Sadly, when you are dreading something, like having dreams, the day will whisk by, like a frog in a blender. As I foresaw, I'm dreaming again, trying to pick up shattered dreams. My hands are shaking so bad that my dreams cut my fingers. I'm bleeding all over my dreams and me. They're crumbling, and I can't do anything about it. I can't trust anything. My faith in humanity is slowly slipping away. Wait! If I believe in something, can I see you again? You disappear and I enter the real world. The startling isolation grips me while a shake violently. I'm desperate for your touch. I'm desperate for something. I run out to the street. It's different in the day. Bright yellows, oranges and reds swirl in the trees. I stop to look at the sheer beauty of it all. I am literally swept away. The wind carries the leaves, takes them to a better place. It stirs something in my heart, witnessing this beauty. I'm not so terrified to dream tonight.

Instead, you walk toward me, and help me pick up my shattered dreams. Your soft hands caress my dreams, making them illuminate again. The dreams are enveloping you in a soft light. Your smile shines with a bright radiance. I wake up, with a smile. I'm ready to face the world.
