Quatrina, or Kat, Winner was sitting down in a soft overstuffed chair, pouting. BANG! "Lina!" Kat moaned. "Stop banging the door! Reilina Winner stuck her head into the room. "I'll stop banging doors when you quit complaining about it, Kat." Kat stuck her tongue out at Lina, who promptly stuck out her own. Then Lina asked, "Where'd Dad go?" Kat shrugged her shoulders, and resumed her pouting. Lina grinned and asked "Dad still won't let you go to Aunt Rei's?" Kat shot her sister a dagger-eyed look, and answered "No, he will not let me go." Then she grinned sweetly and said "But if my wonderful big sister would go with me.." Lina shook her head emphatically, and said "No. No way! I'm not going to Aunt Rei's. You remember our last visit! She had me wearing a dress-a fancy puffy dress I might add-and going to parties. Oh, forgive me, sister dear, I mean balls." Lina shook her head again. "Nope. Won't do it. Not even for you. I'm going to Aunt Shira's and Uncle Wufei's." "But, they haven't even asked you yet!" Kat protested. "That's rude. Daddy won't let you just go there, and impose on them like that." I hope not, anyway, Kat thought. "That's where you're wrong. I just got off the phone with Meilin. She invited us to come over." After that, Lina left the room, wanting to find her father to confirm that she could go. "It's not fair." Kat muttered out loud. "Lina's only two years older. I'm sixteen. I should be able to go where ever I want to for summer break."
