Summary: A poem written in Buffy's POV--Has her realizing what she feels for Spike through a dream. (I had originally posted this under my other sn, but I'm posting it again!)
AN: This was supposed to take place during Buffy and Spike's relationship in season six.
Her heartbeat slows.
She wants the end.
The blood pours freely.
The weakness sends.
She lays down quietly.
She closes her eyes.
She dreams about her love,
That vampire,
His cries.
She lost him too soon.
Before she could feel.
Before she could tell him,
Before he could heal.
She knows he went to a better place.
She has to go with him.
She feels the tears on her face.
And as the world goes from dim to black,
She whispers her love to her friends,
"Come back."
"Come back."
She can almost hear them say.
So she closes her eyes,
Lets her life slip away.
She meets him there.
His eyes so blue.
He stands there waiting.
His love is true.
"Suicide's not the answer." He whispers in her ear.
She whispers back, "I know my dear."
"Go back."
"Go back."
His silent pleas.
Live your life.
For me, please.
She shakes her head.
Impatient is she.
"But I love you Spike."
"I know. I see"
And as she closes her eyes once more,
She finds herself on her bedroom floor.
His peroxide hair is easy to spot.
And as she comes back to reality,
Just a dream, she thought.
He's on the lawn,
Watching her from above.
And as she approaches him, she speaks of,
"I love you Spike. You are my love."
