Strong Enough

Dinah sat on the balcony of the clocktower, overlooking the city. She was gone, and it was all her fault. Gone, before she'd ever gotten to know her. She was gone because she hadn't been strong enough to save her. If only she had touched her in Gibson's, she would have known just how much she loved her. But now, she could only speculate because she was gone. Because she was not strong enough. As she sat and thought, she knew that the path she had chosen was littered with pain and hardships. The ones she loved would always pay the price for her mistakes. But she was ready to take that chance, to risk all she had and more, for her. To follow in her footsteps. Yet she knew deep in her heart that no matter how hard she tried, now matter how now good as she got, she would never quite be strong enough.
