I sat there scribbling on my notebook waiting for class to be over and I found my thoughts drifting away from the lesson and to Kon. He's incredible. Yeah, he used to be so--frustrating, but that was just Kon. Besides at least he wasn't nearly as frustrating as Bart.
I've had a crush on Kon since day one, but somehow the feeling became mutual and he liked me back. I don't even know how it happened. We started out as teammates, which intern made us friends. Then one day he asked me out--and--and well ever since then we've been girlfriend-boyfriend.
There have been times when I've thought 'why me? He can have any girl he wants why did he pick me?' I've always meant to ask him, but things are going so good I didn't want it to mess anything up.
The bell ringing threw me from my thoughts; it's 3:00. I looked down at my notebook to see something I thought I'd never see on any of my notebooks. I had written over and over "I love Kon." It did make me smile, though. I put all my books in my backpack and headed out of the classroom. I walked down the hall to my locker and got my coat. My friend, Manda, was waiting for me.
"Hey, Cassie. Wanna come over and watch some movies tonight?"
"I can't. I have tons of homework to do."
"Cassie you have all weekend to do your homework. It's Friday come have some fun."
"Sorry, Manda. I really can't."
We both walked out of school together, like we always do. We got to her house first. I walked the rest of the way home by myself. Once again I found my thoughts drifting back to Kon. I was think of everything I could wait to see of him. His baby blue eyes, his jet-black hair, and that tightly fitting suit. God am I glad he changed his costume. I never liked the Superman look a like with a leather jacket instead of a cape. Then again what do I know; I used to wear a wig.
I got to my house and went in. I threw my stuff in my bedroom, grabbed a snack and changed. Manda was right I had all weekend to do my homework. I was going to have some fun tonight. Where could you find fun on a Friday night? YJHQ of course. It was pizza night and who knows maybe we'll have some work to do. Or maybe it'll be quiet and me and Kon can go out after pizza. See a movie or something.
After changing into my Wonder Girl outfit I was off. When I got to Happy Harbor, I noticed that everyone was there already. Oh well, I guess I won't get any free time with Kon before everyone gets here. So, I just went in and enjoyed pizza night with my friends. Of course me and Kon were staying pretty close all night and at one point he asked if I wanted to ditch the rest of them and go to the movies. Who can pass up the opportunity to be alone with their boyfriend, especially when he's Superboy. But we waited 'til after pizza before going. We went to see a movie and out for ice cream after. It was the best Friday of my life.
