Knight-mage:
What if Thom had not become a sorcerer, but instead gone to the palace with Alanna? Sequel to Squire-sorcerer, which you don't need to read, and can't, because it isn't on anymore. About Thom's daughter, Alanna.
Prologue (This pretty much summarizes 'Squire-sorcerer):
Instead of learning to become a mage, Thom had gone to the palace, with Alanna, where they had pretended to be twin brothers. Thom learned magic from Duke Roger, and became his squire, while Alanna became the squire of Prince Jonathan. As Duke Roger's squire, Thom learned about a plot to kill the King, Queen, and Prince of Tortall and make Roger King. Although he told no one at first, Alanna and Jonathan found out, and together they decided to stop him, without telling anyone. Meanwhile Thom met the lovely Delia of Eldorne, who would later become his wife. She had her own ideas about Roger's plot, and she and Thom made their own plan to kill Roger once he was on the throne and take it for themselves. Alanna found out about this, too, and made a deal with her brother: she would not try to stop him if he did not kill the Prince, whom she had fallen in love with. So Roger killed the King and Queen, and seemed to have killed the Prince, when he was killed by Thom, who then proclaimed himself King. It was then that Jonathan came out of hiding and told Thom and that it was he who was King. He exiled Thom to a fife far to the North with his wife Delia and their newborn daughter, named for Thom's sister: Alanna. Jonathan married Alanna, and she became Queen.
Now Alanna is unhappy as Jonathan's wife, made Queen before she had even finished her training as a knight, while Thom and Delia plot to take back a throne that they think is rightfully theirs. Thom's daughter, now thirteen years old, goes to the palace as part of Thom's plan, pretending to want to be a knight. But in reality, she is sent to spy on the King and Queen.
A/N- Sorry if this is a little confusing, the story will be less so, and if you want I will try to upload Squire-sorcerer, the prequal (I am SURE that is not spelled right) to this story.
