Cauldron Interlude 1

"Path to know Lighting Strikes powers and plans."

Contessa tried again to predict what the newly triggered master projection would do. But she always got vague answers and now she even was getting a Thinker headache, which made her slightly panic. This really was not normal for newly triggered capes to be blind spots for her. She normally could predict the reactions and plans but not this one.

Even now she got a bland reply

"Do not interfere with Abaddon Shard's power"

Great, so the new trigger was an Abaddon Agent. Just great she will have to tell this to the others because Alexandria was already aware of this incident. The debut of the new cape to Brockton Bay was not pretty. Which is why Alexandria was calling an emergency meeting of Cauldron under an old priority Protocol called Abaddon. It was a protocol that informed them of unusually powerful triggers and now they got one from the Brockton Bay director Piggot. The reported cape showed a Projection with very fast Mover powers like the Siberian, they only need the confirmation that he also has Brute powers like the Siberian now.

So, when Contessa, a pale-skinned woman, having also long black hair that was wavy and curly and was shoulder length sat first in the Cauldron conference room as all the available capes now came using portals that Doormaker made.

Behind her came Doctor Mother, dark-skinned female with long hair, who was a Cauldron leader and unpowered human in this place of capes and was always dressed in her doctor attire.

In the background stood Eidolon with his cape outfit, mostly in that blue-green skin-tight suit, with heavy hood and cape, and sleeves that hid his hands. He was also wearing hidden body armour.

Also, his mask, which glowed slightly because of the built in LEDs.

The next who came from a portal was Legend, also in his skin-tight sky-blue costume, with white lighting/flame designs on it. Also wearing his blue and silver/white mask.

Alexandria finally barged in, flying from Washington D.C in her costume, which was black with a skirt, knee-high boots, and elbow-length gloves. It was coloured black and light grey with an image of a tower on her chest. Also, her costume featured a wide, heavy cape that flowed over her shoulders and draped on the ground behind her. She was a tall muscular woman with long, straight black hair.

And in the end, closing his portal to the base came Doormaker himself.

He was a plain-looking man, pale and somewhere in his thirties. Also, with him came Clairvoyant his companion and Cauldron cape too, who is a pale, twenty something old man.

"So" Doctor Mother called "We all here gathered to discuss the new Trigger and Abaddon Agent that triggered today on 9:42 AM in Brockton Bay high school. She is a very powerful Master Cape that was reported in PRT Brockton Bay from what Alexandria gotten as one after Director Piggot called her in under the Abaddon Protocol priority call. What we know of the triggered cape, it has similar powers that remind us of what our old companion named William Manton got, who chose to leave the organization. What I recall and Contessa knows from her Thinker ability he is now hanging out with the Slaughterhouse 9.

But first things first, I want to talk about the similarities and differences between Manton, Siberian and Lighting Strike and his Master abilities. "

She called to Alexandria.

"Well Alexandria, what do you know?"

Alexandria nodded then started to talk

"I got a call from Brockton Bay PRT ENE on 10:45 AM on a prospective trigger which looks like an Abaddon Shard named Taylor Hebert after they ended up first at the scene to investigate. From what I know that trigger event is really disgusting and shocking as she was locked into her locker with things that can only be called biological waste. If she didn't trigger, who knows what would have happened to her, maybe she would have died on the spot.
Besides that, now onto her Master Projection. PRT ENE Brockton Bay already gave a partial rating as Shaker/Blaster, Mover, and Changer. The Blaster because he has full control of electricity, Mover because he can move fast and even faster in his Changer form that ironically looks like the fictional robots from Earth Aleph show called Gundam's.
Now I want to talk a bit about Siberian and Manton. We know he chose to be alone after his Wife died and lost his daughter. What we need to discuss is what made him get the Master powers with a Projection that has the characteristics of the Siberian from out vials.

What we need to note is that the Siberian was based on his daughter, which has been also naked and stripped in black and white skin colour. We know she could ignore all natural forces as she sees fit and can give that power to other people that are in physical contact, but it has a limit as she cannot make her Master, Manton invulnerable.

And Manton needs to be near her, otherwise she disappears, and the next thing is, if he sleeps the projection disappears too"

"Now what makes Lighting Strikes case more interesting is that he is still active even when his Master Taylor Hebert is unconscious, and he has not disappeared. Also, he is more humanlike in skin colour, clothes and even is intelligent and sapient as there are transcripts when one of the Brockton PRT capes asked him some questions. He normally responded and talked back. For his Shaker/Blaster combo of electricity powers I would have given him already a threat rating at least 8 because they are strong if he can electrify a whole corridor of a high school at ease. Not to mention Mover and Changer powers that even compared to other cases of Changer powers are strange.

Some PRT Tinkers and Thinkers wanted to have look at how this is possible for someone to change into this set of armour. Some even want to reproduce this as their powered armour. Also not mentioning that sword of his. I already got a call from Dragon, she wants to take the girl into the Guild special Warden project, as she is thinking, she could be an asset for helping in tracking more dangerous S rank threats.
Of course, this is contingent that she is trained, and full power testing was done as there are still some questions what she can do or not, same for her Master projection. Also, I'm taking the blame for the recommendation of that cape Shadow Stalker. The Wards project did take a serious hit in reputation because of her. I thought her Stranger based power would help at Endbringer battles, but it seems she gave us instead a Diamond. The only problem is that she was outed during her trigger event."

Legend finally begins to speak

"So, Alexandria what you are saying is that we got a new Abaddon Agent with us who has Master powers like that, which makes her a Siberian 2.0 but apparently with sapient and peaceful for now projection that is utterly loyal to its master at his core?"

"Yes, he is, and as leader of the PRT I will be doing anything to manipulate the girl and her father to accept an offer as an honorary Ward member or a Guild member. I think she would greatly help us when we must fight against Scion. Since I am sure right now our good friend in Brockton Bay Coil will try to stir up things on this cape by leaking some info to the gangs. He is a thorn in our side, but really we cannot allow him to do more damage, or he will expose us."

Suddenly Contessa growls

"Well, if my Path to Victory show me steps like "Path to make Taylor Hebert happy" I will take this one and do a personal call to Coil today. I'm sick thinking of him trying to snag this cape for himself and make her a villain in the process. Since we know that her Highschool already tried to paint her a villain. I will give him a piece of advice to back off from Hebert as Abaddon Shards are too protective of each other and mine is acting like that right now. Also, regarding Jack Slash, I will make sure that the SH9 doesn't try anything against her."

Doctor Mother continues

"So, we have now we have a plan what to do in this case. Eidolon, Legend i would like both of you to go to Brockton Bay PRT and observe the new Trigger and her Projection to know more about the Abaddon Protocol situation we landed in. Contessa will make sure for now that Coil backs off the new Trigger, as I'm sure he will soon try to search for information about her and try to get the full report that only we have about the incident. Understood?"

"Yes ma'am" replied Legend and Eidolon.

"So as told, Doormaker will make portals for Eidolon and Legend to Brockton Bay. So, they can go to their PRT headquarter and talk to Piggot to let us observe the new trigger. Contessa will do her call to Coil soon so he will be not a threat on this case and will not try anything stupid since this case is already paper thin for what had happened to that poor girl who triggered."

Doormaker then started making a portal to Brockton Bay, where the two members of Cauldron and the Triumvirate called Eidolon and Legend passed through fast, which he closed after them.

Also, in the background Contessa pulled her phone out and started to call Coil which he answered too fast for her. Which made worry slightly.

"So, what have I done to get a call from you Contessa?"

"For now, nothing, but if you try to make the person who recently triggered yours, that Cauldron now has an interest in, I will come personally to end your PRT and other careers. I am not in the mode for games, do you understand?

Somewhere in his lair in Brockton Bay, Thomas Calvert, strike director of PRT and secret villain named Coil felt a cold shower run down his back after getting a call from Contessa, and she was not joking from what he heard from the short call.
