~Romeo and Juliet: Chapter 1~
Soda is in school still
Sodas pov
"Sodapop Curtis to the administrative office" Mrs. McKiners voice called over the loud speaker at school.
I was walking with the gang, made up of my little brother, Pony and my 4 best friends, Steve, Johnny, TwoBit and Dally "Hey guys, old lady McKiners called me to the office, see ya'll at home" I called as I walked into the office and they continued to walk home.
"Yes, hi I'm Soda Curtis, I'm here to see Old lady McKiners, I MEAN Mrs. McKiners" I laughed and the lady behind the desk just frowned.
"Yes, son right this way" She said leading me into McKiners office.
McKiners POV
"Hello ma'am" Sodapop said with his strong southern accent obvious.
"Hello, dear, I have a problem with the amount of credits you have for this year, you seem to have only 4 credits, you need 5 for your Junior year, you are lacking your Arts credit" I said.
"Ahh, can those be made up, ma'am" He said, his handsome face looking into mine.
"No I' sorry son, not unless you want to be in the end of the year, play Romeo and Juliet, we do need that star of the play, Romeo and a handsome lad like yourslef would do the trick" I said
He smiled. "So if I play Romeo in this play, I pass into my Senior year?" Soda asked.
"Yes, sir" I said.
"Ok, sounds good ma'am" He said.
"Here is a list of practice dates and a cast of characters I knew you would be the best for this part, Sodapop,!" I yelled.
"Thanks" he said as he walked out of my office.
Sodas POV
I scanned through the list of characters on my walk home.
Romeo: Undecided
Juliet: Victoria Polner Tybalt: Michael Warner Montague: James Flugner Capulet: Patrick Homer
Lady Montague: Mary Sue Jenkins Lady Capulet: Isabella Watsan
The rest of the cast will be played by various chorus members.
Wait, Victoria Polner, Juliet? I thought to myself, she's a loser. Oh well at least I'll graduate.
