A/N: No, don't be confused, this fic changes points of view. I'll try not to do it in the middle of chapters, try to keep each chapter from one person's POV, just yell at me if a I screw up.

*~~~ Chapter Two (mini chapter): Something's Off ~~~*

Keller stared at the door that Ria had just gone through. Supposed to be a witch. She was supposed to be related to Winnie. But something seemed… off, to Keller.

"That was so weird. I would have sworn I knew most of my cousins, and at least the names of all the others near my age!"

Everyone was moving back into the room sectioned off by the curtain. Blaise said over her shoulder, "Toby, watch the store, alright?" A muffled "Uh-huh," came back to them. Goddess knew what he was doing.

Iliana's lips were pursed in thought as she sat down. "She was odd, but… I liked her." She shrugged. "I don't know, but she seemed nice to me."

Keller snorted. "You liked Brett and Jaime-dragon, too."

Iliana, always dignified, stuck her tongue out at her.

"I'm not sure about her, I couldn't read anything from her."

"Some witches can shield their minds, even from vampires, Nissa. Especially if they're powerful," Winnie said in her cousin's (or whatever's) defense.

"What interests me is, why did she want so many things to boost power? If she's so powerful herself, powerful enough to shield her mind from a vampire, what spell is she going to attempt that takes that much?" Blaise didn't seem happy. "I only know a few… and all of them are for the darkest of Circle Midnight witches." Now she sat back, looking smug. "I wasn't supposed to know about them, but Gran doesn't-" Blaise stopped, swallowed, "-didn't keep some things as locked up as she thought."

Keller mulled that over. They're all sure she's a witch. A powerful witch, too. Maybe she's dark, but then why would she be going to a Circle Daybreak party? But I swear she twitched when Winnie mentioned the party…not much of a reaction, but enough that I saw. So she's good at concealing her reactions. That probably means she's also good at lying…So she very well may be a dark witch, undercover for the Council maybe?

So why did she seem almost like a vampire?
