Chapter 1: Aya's Pet Peeve [Aya's point of view.]
"AYA!" Rane scowled at me. "Eer...yeah, what?" I mumbled, looking over at the young girl.
How old was she? 16? And Anomy, sitting next to her, she must be 15. She looks like my sister, light blue hair, silver eyes; bust size must be at least B3- "Aya!" Rane repeated, louder and harder this time.
"Sorry, Rane, I must've gotten lost in thought" I grumbled. Omi always lectured how I should be polite to Ms.Rane Mitsukai and her friends. He said we need her for a lot of things, I don't recall her ever being the slightest bit useful.
"Alright, Kanomi and I will get the stuff for you, hey, Aya, are you listening?"
I found myself staring at the mirror on the wall. We were seated in the mission room; we had that mirror to let us know if anybody walked in. I was just longing to get out.
Rane stood, I just noticed how good that old worn out pair of jeans and silly green sweater suit her. Kanomi is dressed to fit as well, a long white cardigan with wide bell sleeves, and a dress as pale as her complexion.
Pretty, I guess. But I'm not the slightest bit interested. I handed Rane some money and the girls headed upstairs. I followed, rolling up the clothing catalog in my hands.
Ken's birthday, only two days away.
Chapter 2: Party Planning [Ken's point of view]
"Hey there, girls." I chimed as I walked in to the living room. Rane squealed and got up to hug me.
"Ohiyou," Kanomi said, embarrassed by her friend's actions. I laughed a bit. "Ohiyou, Rane-chan, Kanomi-san." I pushed Rane away gently to sit down in Youji's arm chair. I glanced around the room halfheartedly; Omi was there, listening to music on his computer and oblivious to our existence.
The girls were sitting down on the sofa, holding a magazine each. I then looked toward the door way to the kitchen. Aya. There he was, pouring a glass of juice by the counter, I felt my heart skip a beat. He then disappeared from the doorway, and my pulse returned to normal.
"Y'know, Ken" Rane said, leaning forward to the point of almost tilting off the sofa. "Hmm?" I looked over at her, cracking a grin at her awquward position.
"We should throw you a birthday party!" she squealed. Kanomi nodded sheepishly. I noticed her glancing toward Omi frequently, this made me grin even more.
I simply loved Rane and Kanomi more than I could stand, but not the way Rane felt love for me, it was more like having little sisters.
"Sure Rane, I'd love a party."
Rane beamed at my approval and bounded in to Youji's room, pulling the reluctant Kanomi along with her.
This was my chance. I stood and shuffled quietly into the kitchen after Aya.
