Chapter One- Homewreckers Inc.
"Good afternoon, Homewreckers Inc., Valerie speaking, how may I help you?" " Good afternoon to you to. I am in need of a renovation and rebuilding service. Can you help me?" " Of course sir. We do every type of building you can imagine. Our work crews are also very well trained and can fix or rebuild anything." " I certainly hope so." " Yes, well, what exactly do you need restored or rebuilt?" "Ah yes, well, umm, let me see. Were did that list go? Ah, here it is. Alright, I need one astronomy tower, three greenhouses, a great hall, many little hallways, 42 classrooms, five dungeons, one chamber of secrets,.. What else? Oh yes, the entire east wing as well." "....a-a-all right sir, um, may I ask what the condition of these rooms are?" " Hmmmmm, like Paris after the Second World war...tenfold." " Oh, so. dust?" " Yes, that's about it." " Well, then, you came to the right company. All I need is some information about yourself and the building." " Fire away" " Alright. Your name sir?" " Albus Dumbledore." " Your address?" "608 Headmaster's Office, Somewhere in Scotland." "Ummmm, is that really an address?" " Yes it is. You don't need to worry about it. Just write it on the envelope and send it through the post." "Alright. Your phone number?" "1-800-CALL-L8TR" "What type of building is it, and what is it used for?" " It is a thousand year old castle that is home to about a thousand students." "A boarding school. How charming. Are there any precautions or other bits of information we should know about?" " Yes. While your crew is here they will be escorted by some of the teachers, just to make sure they are not disturbed in their work and remain safe. Some of our students can cause a lot of problems for your workers. Also, your crew will have to stay at the castle, and any new comers will have to be led here by the staff. It is quite impossible to find if you don't know where to look, and many people seem to just forget where it is." " Well, I think that will be okay. You can discuss it further when you talk to our project planner. He'll help to get the ball rolling. When would be convenient for you to speak with him?" "Whenever he is available. I hope it to be soon though. I think it would be best if they got started before the school year begins again in September." " Of course. Thank you for choosing our company Mr. Dumbledore. We look forward to working on your castle." "No, thank you. Goodbye." Click. This year is going to be very interesting. Perhaps I should have mentioned that little thing about the castle. No, I don't think it will be important. However, I must go brush up on my memory charms..
