I swear, she sure looks familiar, Yugi thought. I really wonder if I ever
met her before. Although I would think I would remember if I knew her.
" Maria, do you have any brothers or sisters?" Tea asked.
" Yes I do." Maria replied. " I have a brother, Brian. Which reminds me. I better get going. My brother will be really worried if I'm not home soon."
" Okay. Bye!" Bakura, T'ea, and Tristan said in unison.
" Aren't you gonna say bye, Yugi?" Bakura whispered nudging Yugi in the side.
But Yugi just sat there.
" What's with him?" Bakura asked.
" Not again. He's spaced out. T'ea can I borrow your water bottle AGAIN?" Joey asked.
" Sure. Here." T'ea said handing her water bottle to Joey.
" WHAT!" Yugi yelled as Joey poured the water on Yugi.
" You spaced. AGAIN!" Tristan shouted.
" Geeze sorry." Yugi said stepping away from Tristan.
" What were ya thinkin' about?" Bakura asked Yugi.
" What do you mean?" Yugi replied.
" You only space out when your thinking really hard. So?" Bakura asked again.
" Nothing." Yugi said walking away.
" Yugi where you going?" Joey asked.
" Home," Yugi whispered.
Yugi lay on his bed thinking. Today was so weird. First I space out thinking about what my grandfather had said earlier that day. Second Bakura all of the sudden signs up to help the new transfer students and happens to know one of them. Third he introduces me to her and I start to think I know her.
" Yugi it's us. Open up." Joey called. " Yug come on let us in."
" Hold on I'll be there in a minute." Yugi called back.
" Yugi tell us what's going on!" Bakura shouted through the door.
" Yeah we're a team!" T'ea said.
Yugi opened the door. His dear friends walked in and sat on his bed. Then Tritan said, " You spaced out twice today."
" Yeah what's up!" Joey cried with concern.
" Okay I'll tell you. But you have to promise not to think I'm crazy."
