Chapter #1: An Unexpected Surprise
Harry was walking around the school grounds when he heard a noise. It sounded like someone crying. He followed the noise, which led him to the lake out front. Not wanting to be seen by whoever was crying, Harry hid behind some bushes. Then he carefully peeked out through a crack in the leaves. It was not one of the girls, or one of the teachers. It was. Draco Malfoy! Harry was torn between wanting to go over there and hug Draco and just turning around and leaving him there to cry. Harry decided to go see what was wrong. So he quietly stepped out from his hiding place and walked over to Draco. "Draco?" Harry asked, "are you ok?" "Why are you here, Potter?" he sneered. "I was walking, Malfoy," Harry answered icily. "Harry," said Draco, "I'm sorry I sneered at you." "Oh, don't be so worried. I'm not offended by it," Harry replied. "Do you mind if I sit with you?" Harry asked. "No, not really, go ahead," Draco answered. Harry nodded and sat- on Draco's lap! "Harry!" yelped Draco, "would you mind getting off of my lap?" "Oh, I'm sorry!" Harry teased, "I thought you were a chair!" Draco laughed so hard at Harry's joke that he almost peed his pants! "Would you mind telling me why you were crying?" Harry asked. "Ok," agreed Draco, "I was crying because the person I love doesn't love me in return." "Who is this person?" Harry asked. "Promise me you won't tell anybody. Please, Harry," he pleaded. "All right," he answered. "The person I love is. you," he said. "I love you, too, O'Evil One," Harry said.
