Fly Like Joey
Joey was this kid
from my neighborhood.
he always hung around,
but no one knew him good.
Joey always said that he wanted to fly.
To bad no one understood,
till the day he died.
Joey you were my best friend
what ever happened to our promise
to be together till the end?
I'm still here in the neighborhood,
you always hung around,
waiting for my friend like I should.
Joey I'm still waiting for you
to come and pick me up.
We were going to leave town
in my brother's old truck.
Joey I'm coming to see you,
I wanna know you real well.
So here I am.
I'm gonna fly as well...
Yugi set the paper back down on the desk where they had found it. He had known that Tristan had taken Joey's death hard, but no one had ever thought it would ever come to this.
Joey had been found dead two day's ago. He had fallen to his death from a building. Police were suspecting it was suicide, but none of his friends would belive that. Joey's life had just started to go right. His sister's eye opperation had been a sucess and Joey was going to see her later that afternoon. It made no sense for Joey to kill himself.
They had all taken it bad, but Tristan had taken it the worst. As much as Tristan might tease or push Joey around, they had been just like brothers.
Now Tristan was going to be buried right beside Joey. He had thrown himself off the same building.
Yugi sighed again and reread the poem. 'I hope you two are together now.' He thought. 'I just hope you don't cause too much trouble together in the afterlife...'
He turned from the room and left just missing the soft reply on the wind "us trouble? you got to be kidding?"
