FAITH IN THE BOYS

"It's Sam,"
That caught her attention,
in fact, the rest of Sg-1 too.
Her eyes caught his briefly,
a flicker of blue, pupils pulsating at the pressure, only not hers.
"What about her?" he interrupted. It had to be his place.
Jonas ignored his defensive reply. His acute senses of late, caused hesitation in his answer.
instead, he turned to her, eyes fixed. Desperate and apologetic.
"You're going die Sam."
The empathy in his voice spoke for it's self.
Simple.
Scratching.
Believable.
She didn't move, barely twitched at the news.
Eyes didn't widen, teeth didn't clench.
Death sentence...
He threw his gun to the ground. "Are you kidding m-"
"No Colonel. I'm not." He stopped his impassioned tirade, not enough to stop him.
"No one. No one dies on my team."
Teal'c hadn't said anything,
there wasn't' a reason to.
He had, absolutely nothing to say.
The three men turned towards Carter.
Sam.
She hadn't still moved.
Hadn't broke out crying.
Even asked why.
how.
when.
He couldn't stand there.
Watch her take the news.
Accept it.
"Major Carter, you do not share our worry for you at the news?"
She sighed at their care for her.
An angry Colonel.
An empathic Jonas.
A confused Jaffa.
"I want some lunch" She asked plainly.
The trio gawked in shock, at the same time
"LUNCH!"
"Yes."
They stood.
"Look, one of us is always going to impending doom, short livings, and heartbreak. It just me this time."
"Huh?" Colonel O'Neill shared the other two's bemusment.
"I have faith in you guys."
She did have faith, and not just in them, daniel too. Samantha had gotten to a point in her middle age, where nothing suprised her. She knew that each of them would risk themselves for her, die for her. not just the Colonel.
If they didn't, then Daniel would certainly do what he could.
Well, judging on what her did for the colonel.
She had Faith.
In her Boys.
All of them.
She started to walk towards where they'd camped for the night.
They followed, as she knew they would.
She could pretty much rely on the knowledge that know they knew,
she probably won't be able to take a p*** without someone watching her six.
great.
"Just one thing though. If I do die, I want a Tok'ra funeral."
"Shut up Carter."
Request granted.

Like? FEEEEEEEEEEEEDD me. Please? :)
Ya know you ha-want to.... he he
