A tower's chimes,
Piercing the sun dappled skies,
Bringing forth an unwavering desire,
To be part of the greater power,
To heal, to destroy, to hold, to live.
To live forever, to love forever,
Wishes and wants of mortals,
Never to be realized by those of perpetuation.
Life is brief,
Not to be cherished,
But lived,
Lived in full.
To either serve or protect,
To guard or keep,
Graced with immortality,
A never ending struggle of faith,
Fed by the hope of passing.
