(A/N: So Luigi and Daisy found out what Mario needs to do, and they want to help him put a stop to Bowser's ill-begotten wedding. Will they succeed? Let's read and find out!)
After a while, Luigi and Daisy's rocket reached the Moon Kingdom, and the couple got out and looked around to see what they could see.
"Whoa! Check that out!" Daisy said, pointing to an odd, hat-shaped airship parked not too far from their rocket.
"I wonder who that ship belongs to." Luigi said. Mario hadn't sent him any pictures of the Odyssey, so he didn't know that it was Mario's, or how Mario even got to the Moon Kingdom in the first place.
"You think Mario might have taken that ship here?" Daisy asked.
"Avrebbe potuto. He could have. Or maybe it belongs to some of the wedding guests... if there are any." Luigi shrugged.
"Well, we can worry about that later. We have bigger fish to fry right now." Daisy said, and off they went to look for Mario, Peach, and Bowser.
They saw a building in the distance, with Bowser's airship anchored not far from it.
"That building over there must be the Wedding Hall!" Luigi said, pointing at the building.
"And look what's right next to it!" Daisy pointed out.
"Mama-mia! It's-a Bowser's airship!" Luigi said.
"Should we check the airship and see if Peach is in there? If they got here not too long ago, Bowser might be having difficulty dragging Peach out of it, and I want to ruin his chances of getting her inside the Wedding Hall, period." Daisy said.
"But Daisy, what if they're already in the Wedding Hall, and Mario's currently making sure that Bowser won't be marrying Peach today, or any other day?" Luigi asked.
"Good point. Okay, then. We'll split up. You check the Wedding Hall, and I'll check the airship! Whoever finds them first has to let the other know right away." Daisy suggested.
"Deal!" Luigi said, and he and Daisy shook on it.
However, before they could take a step in the direction they needed to go, Luigi suddenly looked up at the sky and saw something. Pointing at the sky, he asked, "What's that?"
Daisy looked up, too, and like Luigi before her, she saw something falling from the sky. And when the object hit the surface, it split up and turned out to be Bowser, Princess Peach, and an unknown man clad in white.
"I think that object turned out to be the people we're looking for!" Daisy exclaimed.
"Could be. I see Bowser in the group." Luigi said.
The white-clad man did a flip as he almost landed on Bowser's head, but then he was on the surface of the moon, perfectly fine. Princess Peach slowly floated down to the surface, and she seemed okay.
"Wow! Is that really Peach I'm seeing? She looks so bellissima in that wedding dress..." Luigi said, his eyes growing wide at the sight of Princess Peach in her wedding day splendor.
"Normally, I'd be upset that you're ogling my cousin..." Daisy started.
"D-did I say Peach was b-b-beautiful?! She is... I mean... sh-she's not... not as b-beautiful as you... are..." Luigi stammered, red in the face from nervousness. He didn't want Daisy to feel hurt that he seemed to think that Peach was prettier than her. Yes, he thought Peach was lovely in her wedding dress, but his heart still belonged to Daisy, and it always would.
"Relax, I don't think I can blame you for saying that, Luigi. I have to agree with you. Peach does look really lovely in that wedding dress." Daisy said.
"Grazie. Thank you, Daisy." Luigi replied with a small sigh of relief as his face returned to normal. Then he saw the white-clad man Peach was looking at, and he said, "Mama-mia! That man with her must be Mario! But is it really him?! I've never seen my brother clad in such finery before!"
"Peach looks really happy to be with the man, so I'm going to say that he really is Mario. Wow, doesn't he look amazing! Now don't be upset, Luigi; I still think you're cuter than him. But... I've never seen him dressed so nicely before..." Daisy replied.
The head gear worn by Mario and Peach suddenly jumped off of their heads and turned into ghosts that looked like hats. They appeared to be celebrating the fact that they were reunited.
"G-G-GHOSTS!" Luigi gasped, getting his Poltergust 3000 at the ready.
"No, Luigi! Don't suck them up in that thing! They're not causing any trouble, and it looked like they had been on Mario and Peach's heads. Maybe they were helping Mario and Peach. Plus, they might have been separated like Mario and Peach were. Let them alone." Daisy said, trying to stop her boyfriend from hurting the innocent pair of Bonneters.
Luigi did as Daisy asked and held back, and it was a good thing, too. When he turned his attention back to his brother, he saw that Mario appeared to be approaching Peach, like he was going to ask her something big. But then Luigi looked over at Bowser and noticed something terrible that made his face turn pale.
Bowser had been unconscious when he landed, but he somehow regained consciousness, and he was holding a bouquet of flowers in his hand. What if he planned on giving the flowers to Peach? Luigi quickly readied his Poltergust 3000 and used it to suck the bouquet right out of Bowser's hand. Well, the stems were peeking out of the nozzle, so the bouquet wasn't sucked in completely.
It was a very good thing that Luigi had reacted so quickly, because the next thing he saw was Bowser pushing Mario out of the way and attempting to offer Peach... a clenched fist. Yup, Bowser obviously meant to give the flowers to Peach in a last-ditch attempt to propose to her, but thanks to Luigi, it wasn't going to work. Also, Bowser didn't realize that he was empty-handed, for his eyes were closed in pride.
Peach, looking at Bowser's fist, was not the least bit amused with the Koopa King. Bowser, not noticing his empty fist, was not prepared for Peach's reaction. Peach had an angry look on her pretty face as she quickly clenched her small, delicate hand into a fist and slugged Bowser right in the ol' snot-box! In fact, she slugged him hard enough to send him staggering back a few inches!
(A/N: 'Snot-box' is another term for 'nose'.)
Daisy saw this and began internally cheering for Peach, but on the outside, she was jumping up and down from excitement! She never thought she'd live to see the day her favorite cousin, who was always so prim, proper, and ladylike, would actually get the nerve to hit Bowser like she did.
Cappy and Tiara were also celebrating because they knew Bowser deserved something like that, but neither of them were big enough to do that to him. They were so glad to see that he finally got what was coming to him... by Peach, no less!
Mario and Luigi, on the other hand, were completely gob-smacked. Mario was surprised that Peach had the gall to do something he really wanted to do but couldn't (thanks to Bowser's stupid two-bit wedding hat that he put stupid two-bit boxing gloves in), and Luigi couldn't believe his eyes because he never saw Peach do something like that to anyone or anything outside of Smash Mansion before.
But no one was more shocked than the Koopa King himself! He was so sure that Peach would love the bouquet. He hadn't been expecting Peach to punch him in the nose like she did.
"What the-?! What was that for?!" Bowser exclaimed in shock, his hands springing to his nose as he covered it in pain. He had no idea that she could hit him that hard.
"Don't act stupid, Bowser! You deserved that because you made a fist at me, indicating you were planning to beat me after you pushed Mario out of the way! Get lost! I never want to see you again!" Peach scolded, folding her arms across her chest and looking away from Bowser.
"What do you mean, Peach?! I wasn't going to hit you! I was trying to give you a bouquet of beautiful flowers! Didn't you see it?" Bowser asked, confused.
"I didn't see any bouquet, Bowser! Just your stupid, clenched fist! And I don't believe you even had a bouquet to begin with! But if you did, let it be known that I do not like invisible flowers at all!" Peach frowned, still not looking at Bowser.
Bowser then removed his hands from his nose and looked at the ground, to see if he might have dropped the bouquet when Peach slugged him. He didn't think he could have, because he felt it in his hand when he held it out to her. But now he couldn't find it. It wasn't on the ground before him, and it wasn't where he had been laying when he regained consciousness.
"What?! Where is it?! Where could it have gone?! I had it with me! I know I did! I felt it in my hand!" Bowser was saying as he began looking around for the flowers.
Bowser was so concerned about the missing bouquet, he didn't realize that Mario had gotten to his feet, dusted himself off, and walked over to Peach.
"Would you rather look at me, Peach?" Mario asked in a quiet voice.
"Of course, Mario. You're far more attractive than Bowser; that's for sure." Peach replied, leaning down and kissing Mario on top of his head, making him blush.
"And you're lovely to look at." Mario replied, which had Peach blushing furiously.
"Where the heck did it go?!" Bowser exclaimed, still looking around for the bouquet.
Suddenly, a familiar voice called out, "Looking for something, Bowser?"
Everyone turned in the direction the voice came from, and there was Luigi! (Daisy was about to sneak towards Bowser's airship, so they didn't see her.)
"Luigi! What are you doing here?!" Mario asked, happily surprised at the sight of his younger twin brother.
"I'm here to help you, Mario!" Luigi replied with a smile.
Bowser was not pleased, and he was stomping his way over to Luigi, fully intending to roast him with his fire breath. But that's when he noticed something peeking out of the nozzle of Luigi's trusty Poltergust 3000. On closer inspection, the object looked like...
"NO!" Bowser cried. The stems of the flowers in the Soirée Bouquet were peeking out of the nozzle! If he roasted Luigi, then the flowers would get roasted, too, or worse, Luigi might suck them in all the way! He couldn't have that happen!
"Can I help you, Bowser?" Luigi asked innocently.
"I can't believe I'm saying this to you, but yes! You see, you kind of vacuumed my bouquet! The stems of the flowers are peeking out of the nozzle." Bowser explained.
"So they are." Luigi said, looking at the nozzle and seeing that Bowser was right.
"You have to get my bouquet out of your vacuum! I need it back!" Bowser said.
"Why?" Luigi asked.
"So I can use it to propose marriage to Princess Peach, that's why! Now give it to me!" Bowser ordered.
"That's your reason? In that case, I really don't think I should get the bouquet out of there." Luigi replied.
"If you know what's healthy, you'll free it now..." Bowser replied as he leaned towards the green-clad plumber in a threatening way.
At that moment, Luigi saw Daisy stop, and she turned to see him having to deal with Bowser. The tomboy princess gave Luigi a look that said, "Don't let him intimidate you, Luigi! He's all talk!"
"Not so fast, Bowser! If you come any closer, I'll suck your flowers in all the way! I mean it!" Luigi warned. Having Daisy around gave him confidence he didn't usually feel during the other times he needed it.
Bowser realized that he couldn't let Luigi suck up the flowers, so he sighed and said, "What will it take for you to give me the flowers?"
"All you have to do is promise to leave my brother and Peach alone, and then you can have them back. That should be simple for you." Luigi replied.
"Are you crazy?! I'm supposed to use those to ask Peach the big question! I'd have to be stupid to not use them to propose to Peach when I get them back!" Bowser said.
"Bowser, you can find someone else who is most likely better than Peach. There's plenty of fish in the sea. You'll just have to look harder to find your angelfish." Luigi replied, while thinking, "That's what I had to do when I learned that Peach loved my brother, and I'm glad I looked harder."
"Give me the flowers. I want that angelfish over there, and I know she'll be changing her mind about Mario when she sees the bouquet!" Bowser said, pointing at Peach, who was exchanging a loving smile with her beloved Mario.
Luigi noticed his brother and the Princess and sighed before turning back to Bowser, asking, "So you really want the flowers back that badly, eh, Bowser?"
"YES! NOW GIVE THEM TO ME!" Bowser shouted.
Daisy motioned something to Luigi, and he gave her a slight nod in reply. Bowser didn't notice, because he was looking only at the stems.
"Okay, then. I'll get them out for you. But first, go long..." Luigi said.
Bowser began to run to the right, where Mario and Peach were standing.
"Oh no! Not that way!" Luigi shouted, before adding, "To your left!"
Bowser went a long distance to the left, ready to catch the flowers like a famous wide-receiver.
"Is this long enough?!" Bowser asked from where he was standing.
"Not far enough, and that's a good thing." Luigi thought, before shouting, "CATCH!" Then Luigi launched the Soirée Bouquet out of the Poltergust 3000. The flowers went sailing high overhead.
Bowser leaped up to catch the Soirée Bouquet, but it was too high for him, and it sailed over his head and out of his reach. He turned around just in time to see the bouquet land in the waiting hands of...
"OH NO!" Bowser screamed.
Who caught the flowers? Not telling! You'll have to stay tuned in order to get the answer!
