The Trial wasn't going according to Dipper's plan at all. Mabel's memories were only proving her point a little bit, reality is unfair to him and her. He had to try to make his case, otherwise all hope is lost, and he'll be banished to reality forever and he'll never see Mabel again. Unfortunately,

"Well, I think we're ready for a verdict!" Judge Shwartstein said, casually batting a string.

"WAIT!" Dipper said, horrified. "I haven't even presented my case!"

Shwartstein taunted, "Do you even have a case?"

Dipper helplessly looked at Mabel, rocking back and forth in her beanbag chair, humming to herself as his mind swirled with so many negative thoughts, thinking about what they'll face if they ever get out of the bubble, they'll be dealing with Bill and his cronies, Ford's been captured, the journals been destroyed with no way of knowing Bill's secret weakness, meaning there's no way to beat him.

Without the Journals, Ford and his Tech, how can they stand a chance against all of them? They don't. They'll be killed, suddenly, all those words played in Dipper's mind, taunting him, mocking him:

"You're just a kid!"

"This is what happens when you try to be a hero..."

"Bill said it himself, there's no room for heroes out here.."

"I didn't lie enough."

"Promise me you won't get stupid.."

"Face it, kid, you're nothing without that journal, no muscles, no brains, what are you gonna do?"

As Dipper slumped, he realized one soul crushing thing about the situation: It was hopeless now.

There's no way he or the others would be able to stop Bill from carrying out his sadistic plans. He had to do something, but the situation was out of his control.

"No." Dipper groaned, bowing his head and shocking his friends and Mabel. Dipper turned away and began to leave.

"Then I hereby banish Dipper from Fantasyland forev….." Shwartstein said, shrugging.

"Wait!" Mabel said, shocking everyone. She ran up to Dipper, trying to convince him otherwise. "Dipper, don't go, you still can st..."

"NO." Dipper cut in. "I'm leaving. I can't help you if you won't help yourself. And it's pointless to convince you now that Bill's going to destroy the city, the world and the universe."

"What?" Mabel said, stunned. "What...what happened?"

"That thing in my backpack, the one that looked like a lava lamp/snowglobe thing," Dipper said, uneasily. "It was an interdimensional rift; it was created when Stan activated the portal. And since Bill destroyed it, it caused a portal to where Bill comes from, the nightmare realm, to open up and cause an apocalyptic nightmare to be unleashed onto Gravity Falls. Me and Ford tried to do something, but he got captured and Bill destroyed the Journals."

"So you found Wendy and she helped you get to me?" Mabel asks, at a loss for words as memories start flooding back to her brain.

"But Gideon helped as well. Initially, Gideon and his goons were working for Bill, but I convinced him to help you." Dipper sighed. Then he remembered the situation that he was in, no way to stop Bill from carrying out his plans, no way to save the day. How could he possibly do that when he can't even save Mabel from herself? He just couldn't. "But it was all for nothing."

"Dipper, it wasn't, if you get banished, we'll never see each other again! Doesn't that mean anything to you?!"

As a portal to the outside world opens, Dipper looks back at Mabel with a glare, sarcastically replying, "I'll be fine. After all, why would you need me when you've got Dippy Fresh?"

Dipper then left Mabeland and never looked back as the portal closed, leaving behind a shocked Mabel and her Mabeland residents as the former dwells on her actions. Even Wendy and Soos were left speechless about what happened. Dipper just gave up like that?

"Okay, now that that's settled, why don't we go back to our funtime?" The Judge said, casually. The Mabeland inhabitants cheered with glee.

Mabel then thought about what she had just done and started to think about unfair she was to Dipper throughout this charade. No, in fact, she started to remember how constantly unfair she was to Dipper all summer.

He had to give up his chance with Wendy so she could get Waddles, who she only knew for a few hours, but in her defense at that time, Dipper was 12 and Wendy's 15, so that was a red flag.

But there were other times she was constantly unfair, not just to Dipper, but to everyone else.

"Queen Mabel?" Xyler asks. Suddenly, the court changed into nothing but a black background with screens showing Mabel's selfish actions to her.

Forcing Stan to confront his fear of heights.

Keeping Several Timez in the Attic as her personal entourage.

Giving Stan truth-telling dentures and nearly landing him jail.

Forcing Dipper to break up with Gideon for her, leading to all sorts of craziness and forcing the former to give up his job so she could have her first kiss.

Instead of helping Dipper solve the password to McGucket's laptop, she ditched him for planning a sock puppet play for a boy she just met! And you couldn't just let him work on the password alone, you had to force him into helping her.

And that's half the summer, this could go on and on.

But worst of all, she remembered the one thing she had just forgotten days ago: Giving Bildin Blandin the rift and causing Weirdmageddon. Sure, she didn't know how bad it was at the time, but it doesn't justify it at all.

In fact, this has made her realize something about herself. She was selfish, and constantly unfair to Dipper, teasing him and every once in a while she would end up selling him out, rarely returning the favor to her brother after the sacrifices she's made, she did whatever she wanted, took whatever she wanted, forced her will on to others, she was thoughtless and careless, and she didn't even try to think about the people she's hurt, and NEVER once apologized. She didn't like it. She hated everything about it.

It was all too much for her as she fell to her knees in guilt. She felt so awful, especially when she just remembered that she banished Dipper from her fantasy land, killing any hope of defeating Bill. And now, Dipper's gone. Gone and will never come back.

But all hope was not lost yet.

The scene changes to the photo day after Mabel got gum in her hair; in flashback the flashback, Dipper walks up to Mabel as he said, "Mabel! I figured out a way to fix your photo!"

Mabel sarcastically in flashback, "What? You have a wig?"

Dipper replied, "No! But, I have a razor!" He pulls out a razor as he shaves a line down his head.

Mabel said, "Haha! You're crazy!" She takes the razor and shaves the part of her hair with gum in it. The two laugh and pose for picture.

Seeing this, Mabel starts to get up with a curious

The scene changes to Dipper sulking in the closet after he got no Valentines. That is until in the flashback, Mabel slides a bunch of valentines taped into a heart that says "For My Favorite Brother" under the door.

Mabel remembers all the times Dipper and her have been there for each other as the scene flashes to Dipper giving Mabel a Band-Aid in dealing with the Summerween Trickster, then to them fist-bumping at the Sock Opera, and finally to Mabel lowering them down from the cliff with her grappling hook after Dipper managed to defeat Gideon.

And they have always stuck together, through thick and thin. And now what, was she going to let her selfish needs ruin that?

No way.

Just because she's growing up doesn't mean she can't stop being herself.

If traveled to Hell and back to get her, then the least she could do in return is leave this fantasy world, help Dipper beat Bill and be better.

The scenery changes back to normal as everyone watched Mabel, waiting to see what she'll have to say.

Mabel stood up. "I've reached a decision. I don't want to stay here anymore!"

The crowd of stuffed animals and made-up characters started muttering and screaming, absolutely shocked by this.

The Judge has had enough of this mess. "ORDER! ORDER! ORDER IN THE COURT!" He yelled, banging his mallet, which only made a squeaky noise. "DANG IT, why is this hammer squeaky?!"

"Mabel?" Wendy asks, confused. "What's going on?"

"Xyler and Craz are right, the world is full of heartbreak," Mabel smirked. "But that's not going to stop me from appreciating what I have in my life until it's GONE!"

"Dude, it's like Dipper, in a way, opened your eyes and saved you from yourself!" Soos said, surprised.

Suddenly, Mabel started to glow pink, much to everyone's surprise.

"Dude?" Wendy asks, uneasily.

Something caused a ripple to come from her spot, blowing the Judge's wig away and knocking one of the benches over. All of the jurors disappeared with loud pops.

Opening her eyes, Mabel had to stop and blink for a moment. Rubbing her eyes, she then said, "I owe Dipper a huge apology."

However, she started to feel uneasy as the cat judge meowing in a distressed manner.

"Whoa, time to calm you down," Mabel said, clapping twice. But nothing happened. The crowd around them started to glare, as an uncomfortable feeling started to be felt by the group. "Uh, why isn't this working?"

Judge Kitty Kitty Meow Meow Face-Shwartstein shouts, "Because your reign over this land is OVER!" He splits open and becomes a nightmare-ish pile of yarn, at the same time, the creaturecrowd turns gray and their eyes glow red. Except for Xyler and Craz, who hug each other and yell.

Mabel yelped, "We gotta get out of here! Soos! Wendy! Paradise is canceled!"

The humans run away as the whole world turns gray and unraveled. Loose strands of yarn fell from the crocheted clouds as the sky turned blood red. The citizens rushed towards them with murderous intent, as Mabel led them to Waddles. The sleeping pig was still the size of an elephant.

Mabel shouts, "Everyone get on!"

They get on the pig as Mabel slaps him and he wakes up. Waddles oinks at them in anger, making them back off. "Take us to freedom, Giant Waddles! Yah!"

The pig ran off as fast as his giant, chubby little legs could carry him.

Mabel shouts, "Alright, guys, are you ready for this?" She then grabs a giant knitting needle from a yarn ball. "Sorry, Mabeland. It's time to burst your BUBBLE!"

Waddles leaps into the air and towards the edge of the bubble. Using the needle, she pierces it, causing the bubble to explode into confetti instantly. The trio landed on the top of the cliff and fell off Waddles. With the bubble gone, they went back to the clothes they had on before. Little did they know, Dipper was moping on the tracks of the mine rails. But he stopped his moping as soon as he heard the bubble pop.

Waddles shrinks back to his normal size.

"You all good?" Mabel asks. Everyone agrees with her. Upon recognizing his sister's voice, Dipper ran up to Mabel in surprise.

"Mabel?" Dipper said, surprised. "What are you doing out that bubble?" He then turned his back on her as he condescendingly said, "I thought you liked it in there."

"Yeah, but all of that is just meaningless if I just use it to hide from my issues instead of working through them." Mabel said.

"Mabel, you were a real jerk in there." Dipper said, hesitant to accept Mabel's apology.

"I know. I should've been better this summer. I've been so caught up in my own thing that I neglected those around me." Mabel sighed. "Interfered with your wants and needs and put mine over you. Those unicorns were right about me, I am a bad person."

Dipper would NEVER forgive Mabel for replacing him with a yes-man, but he can't stay mad at her forever. Right now, there were other things to worry about than her and him.

"Then be better. It's not that hard." Dipper chuckled, shrugging it off.

"God, I went nuts back there. I mean come on. The real world can't be that bad, right?" Mabel asked.

She turned around and saw what had become of the town down below, nothing but a nightmare of weirder preportions, and the Fearamid still loomed over the valley far in the distance.

"Oh boy." She muttered.
